When I heard that Stephen Hawking had reached 70, I thought "f**k me, that's one powerful wheelchair."

The HAB theory by Allan W. Eckert. Read it many years ago, and got a 1st edition copy for Christmas. A good read if you're into fiction based on fact about world disasters A substantial number of people place The HAB Theory on their personal "top 20 books" lists. When Amazon.com went live, a personal review of The HAB Theory brought genuinely interesting E-Mails from correspondents all over the world. That level of interest lead to this site and to republishing of the book. The HAB Theory presents a great many mysteries that mainstream science couldn't explain back then and still mostly ignores it to this day. This is a place to explore ideas presented in The HAB Theory. Here you will find some of the more riveting statements in the book reproduced. Allan W. Eckert's character: Herbert A. Boardman (HAB), is based on a real person, an electrical engineer named: Hugh Auchinchlos Brown. The real life HAB proposed and researched what we now know as "The HAB Theory" and presented his ideas in a book titled: Cataclysm's of the Earth. It has been out of print for decades, but you can now read it online for free here. Two other non fiction books that inspired The HAB Theory are also back in print, and available again from all major booksellers. Both are by Professor Charles A. Hapgood. These links will take you to amazon.com where other readers offer their reviews: "The Path of The Pole" "Maps of the Ancient Sea Kings"

Ahh! I thought the increase may have been for a 'frivolous' claim! -

So, it's appears that greater minds than some on here, have upheld the Kompany sending off, and the tariff has been increased to four matches! -
Enlighten me then!

Fact? or fiction?, where is this reported? I'd find that strange, to say the least!

You are a bore Hypo, yet more evidence of your WUM status, why the hell should we give the player away for peanuts. Yet on the other side of things, you want us to spend over the odds for players, surely on a wind again!

Cameron seeks independence referendum clarity for Scotland
Gingeletiss replied to Guided Missile's topic in The Lounge
You often ask posters to read what you wrote, and I'd appreciate the same. I did state my first passport, and as I'm now 58, then even a Scouser, should be able to work out, that this is not my current passport. Yes, I'm proud to say I'm English, is that a crime? we are being forced into accepting that we are British, yet the Welsh, Scottish, and Northern Irish, are exactly that, so why can't we be English. It's liberal thinking bleading hearts like you, who say different, and our weak minded MP's go along with it. As for the Redhair, wrong, certainly for the last two hundred years anyway, and if there was celtic blood, then it would be Welsh, given where my ancesters originated from. -

I don't know about you, But my country is England, I was born English, my first passport said I was English, and I will die English. -

Word Origin & History Britain c.1300, Breteyne, from O.Fr. Bretaigne, from L. Britannia, earlier Brittania, from Brittani "the Britons" (see Briton). The O.E. was Brytenlond and meant "Wales." If there was a Celtic name for the island, it has not been recorded. -
Stunning, a top ten imo....30,000 song sheets please someone!

"Not at all. Presumably you haven't seen the numerous times in the past month where that poster just follows me around the messageboard not wanting to engage in any sort of debate but designed purely to antagonise. I've had enough. Regarding the question we have had reported bids for Hooper and Sharp in the summer." Lmfao, I'm not following you around you buffoon!, it's just that you are a wum, and as such I, and others, often challenge you to prove what you post. Take the above as an example, share with us mere mortals, the link that shows we have put in a bid for Hooper, it's surely not a hard thing for you to do, as you post it as a fact!

Another one you can't answer, that's about four in two days Hypo!

Health workers reject government's final offer on pensions
Gingeletiss replied to trousers's topic in The Lounge
Due to supply and demand. Down here in the deep south, prices have not really fallen. I know from a previous discussion on this, that you advocate plunging millions into negative equity, to start the process all over again. However, I agree, is is a factor in the cost of living, but regardless of what Verbal says or thinks, many industries have fled this country, due to in part, the high wages demanded, taking Dyson as a prime example, their goods are the same price, but overheads vastly reduced. There was a time we exported coal in this country, but the unions bled the industry dry, making production uneconomical, and before you start Verbal, I haven't researched it, it is a knee jerk assessment, based on my age and experience.. -
Hypo, where was that reported, as far as I've seen, we have shown some 'interest', so how much did we bid? seriously, you appear to be Itk on this, so how's about sharing with your fellow fans.

I also await with baited breath!

Well, in my opinion, our so called loss of form, has coincided with the injury to Chaplow, but you believe what you want. A couple of months ago, we were all lauding NA for having a plan A,B and C, a few bad results, and the likes of you ignore this.

And, who was forcing up the cost of living by excessive wage demands?, you have to admit, the unions started out with good intentions, but got bl00dy greedy. -

It amazes me, how people from the same country, see things oh so differently. We have the lefties on here moaning about the lack of manufacturing, the loss of industry, the privatisation of all the utilities etc etc, yet the unions were largely to blame for making these into loss making industries, in much the same way, that they will now, over their greedy demands. Some times they do good, but on the whole, they are destroyers of all things good. All imho of course. -
Naive, no, but Hypo will soon convince you otherwise. His version of things is always right, based on imaginary 'fact', I liken it to Hypo thetical.
