If true, surely the taxman will give them time to pay, or even let them pay 20p in the pound over 5 years............. Nahhhhhh!

Lol.......... Just heard that one of the early interested parties was Sir Paul McCartney, who apparently wanted to buy the club as a late divorce settlement present for his ex-wife, Heather. However, he was discreetly warned by an insider at the FL that she wouldn't pass the FL's new, two-part fit and proper person test. Apparently, she would have been all right in the first part, but when it came to the second leg it would have fallen flat on its face.

Had hundreds of books, bought a sony e-reader, put them all on the computer, then SD card, then e-reader, got shot of my books which took up a lot of space. I now have an I-Pad2, and am loving it. Books, what are they and that's from a 58 year old.

Baldrick: "What I want to know sir, is before there was a Euro there were lots of different types of money that different people used. And now there's only one type of money that the foreign people use. And what I want to know is, how did we get from one state of affairs to the other state of affairs" Blackadder: "Baldrick. Do you mean, how did the Euro start?" Baldrick: "Yes sir" Blackadder: "Well, you see Baldrick, back in the 1980's there were many different countries all running their own finances and using different types of money. On one side you had the major economies of France , Belgium , Holland and Germany , and on the other, the weaker nations of Spain , Greece , Ireland , Italy and Portugal . They got together and decided that it would be much easier for everyone if they could all use the same money, have one Central Bank, and belong to one large club where everyone would be happy. This meant that there could never be a situation whereby financial meltdown would lead to social unrest, wars and crises". Baldrick: "But this is sort of a crisis, isn't it sir". Blackadder: "That's right Baldrick. You see, there was only one slight flaw with the plan". Baldrick: "What was that then sir?" Blackadder: "It was ********". -
Not so, that magic figure only means an MP can raise it in Parliment, it's not a given!
-
Which he does surely, as his company are part owners now!
-
That would only improve things down there!
-
And that, in a nutshell, is what most on here find so puzzling!

Missed this little nugget in that 'exclusive'... “In the 1980s I was a broker between banks and developers in Hawaii and I operated on a fee of 30 per cent of equity on successful projects. I was involved in major hotel developments including the Grand Wailea and the Western Maui.” Come on money men, really!, 30% brokering fees!!

Pompey’s assets lie in its support and potential, but they hardly have a tangible financial value, and, I would guess, be unattractive to the average Wall Street trader. On a website which looks like a teenager’s GCSE project gone wrong, Cala outlines his plans to sell his cruise ships for $600m a piece. After using the personal 100m euro fortune he claims to have to wipe out the club’s debts, he will float Pompey on the New York Stock Exchange. enough! you're killing me

If that someone you are wishing for, was scoring at the rate Rhodes is, in the PL, then he would be going for 50 million. Also, how else is he going to prove his worth, unless he plays at a higher level, a bit like SRL.

Ah! Mr Ho Ho Ho, welcome back, that'll teach you to chuck your toys out the pram! As to the wages, lol, it depends which set of books he was allowed to view, they may of given him set 4, instead of set 2, couldn't of been set 1, as they got 'lost'.

Love definite posts like this.......not! The 'whole' forum did not wonder about Hooiveld, a very small number actually post on a regular basis, and only a small number of those posted their 'wonderment' at the loan signing of Jos.
-
Glad that's just your belief, as NA has stated how excited he is with this signing, and there are pictures out there, that show TL training at Staplewood.

Who is this week's mystery signing?
Gingeletiss replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
Or 'you are'! -
It appears that it won't be 'taxpayer' funded, so all you lefties, will have to look for another stick, to start beating the government and monarchy of this country!

you gotta laugh! 6 Pompey Old Boy Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 08:04 AM Perhaps Mr Cala wants out cos he wants to buy that cruise ship sunk on the coast of Italy .That way he would be halfway to having an underwater Casino and the Steel would be a lot cheaper
-
Agreed, but wasn't that at night?

Two permanent signings, and one loan signing, all three are/sound like exciting players, what exactly are you after?
