Indeed. The police are damned if they do, damned if they don't.
-
Likewise. I'm actually quite looking forward to a beer now! Just hope the riots start on time.... ;-)

Sounds like a plan! http://www.lbc.co.uk/new-reports-of-disturbances-around-london-43379 Shops in Westfield, Bromley, Balham, East Ham, Hackney, Farringdon, Kingston, Wimbledon, Clapham Common, Ealing and Wandsworth are believed to be closing early as London prepares for a fourth night of violence. The Southside Shopping Centre in Wandsworth and Centre Court Shopping Centre in Wimbledon have already shut.

Waterloo to Farnborough. We don't stop at Wimbledon but wouldn't surprise me if they shut down the line in the advent of any unrest in the centre of Wimbledon
-
1400: Deputy Assistant Commissioner Stephen Kavanagh says plastic bullets - never used before during British disturbances - have been considered as "one of the tactics" available to officers at the riots. "That's a tactic that will be used by the Metropolitan Police if deemed necessary," he says.

Nowhere near the railway station I hope? Need to go through there later.

Some drunken teenage girls' insightful views on the matter: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14458424 "Everyone was breaking into stuff.....it was good though.....it was good fun.....yeah, we're drinking at 9 in the morning, yeah, free alcohol.....like, it's the government's fault....yeah, conservatives....whatever who it is, I dunno....just showing the police we can do what we want.....yeah, definitely hoping it will go on again tonight, definitely....it's the rich people, the people that have got businesses and that's why this has happened, because of the rich people....so we're just showing the rich people we can do what we want" Three words spring to mind: Education, education, education Sigh

http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?24457-Markus-Liebherr-RIP.-All-tributes-here-please. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/obituaries/markus-liebherr-entrepreneur-who-saved-southampton-fc-2063201.html Tomorrow (10th August) marks the 1st anniversary of the untimely death of Markus Liebherr. I was on holiday in Wales at the time and still clearly remember how stunned I was on hearing the news. RIP Markus. You'll be in my thoughts tomorrow.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicola_Cortese Nice. (p.s. it was Nicola's birthday on Monday I notice. A belated "Happy Birthday" sir) :-)
-
If Cortese keeps up this excellent chairmanship he'll start attracting the attention of the likes of AC Milan.....
-
My pleasure sir. We aim to please :-) Btw, I'm still not best pleased that you've got a bigger c o c k than me (as your avatar)
-
So, if you're not his dad (or closely connected to him), where did you get your "inside information" from last year.....? Not a fan of Mr Cortese then....? ;-)
-
Indeed. I've been saying this for years about most things. We all look for others to blame for anything that happens but we rarely look at personal responsibility. We all vote for ineffectual governments (red and blue).

England v Holland just called off

I bow at the feet of Nicola Cortese

Beat you by 6 seconds....all's fair in live and war... :-)

@JWTelegraph: Surprising willingness of Wenger to spend up to £12m on young winger, but not, as yet, £15m+ on needed defender
-
@JWTelegraph: Saints eventually received £7m for Gareth Bale, £8m for Walcott..Oxlade-Chamberlain could be £12m within a yr #saintsfc #arsenal
-
@JWTelegraph: Total fee for Oxlade-Chamberlain - who is at Arsenal's training HQ today - is £12m.big price for player with only Lge1 experience
