  1. Come on Tranmere!
  2. Count yourself lucky....I'm still waiting for the final score against Yeovil on Ceefax
  3. Alas, no
  4. All sorted.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southend_utd/8631931.stm
  5. Nice idea for a non-Saints charities thread DD.... I'm cycling 174 miles in aid of Stroke Patient Rehabilitation at the end of May. All donations/sponsorship, no matter how small, really appreciated. Website for donations, via Paypal or Charities Trust: http://www.travers2000.clara.net Cheers.
  6. Isn't that near a rather large volcano though..... ;-)
  7. Portsmouth's administrator Andrew Andronikou says: "We are no nearer to a buyer than we have been for the past two months" Hmmm....I remember this 'phase' of adminstration well from our state of termoil this time last year.....i.e. after the bravado of the initial weeks comes the middle phase.....a.k.a. the "it's not looking as good as we thought it would" transition.... Of course, we eventually entered the final 'phase 3' in our quest for a new owner, but then Markus only had to stump up something in the region of £15m rather than the £119m now being quoted for Pompey.... Hmmmm.....
  8. Keep them on the phone for an hour or so on a pretence that you're interested in what they have to offer...
  9. Same person (highlighted in bold)?
  10. Looks like this is the first year that my dithering over where to go for our summer holiday will pay dividends. I'm now switching attention to a UK based holiday. That said, there should be some foreign holiday bargains to be had in August if the volcano doesn't carry on erupting as predicted...decisions decisions...
  11. What's our win-lose ratio this season when Morgan wasn't in the team compared with when he was?
  12. Yup. Looks likes today's opening of Scottish and northern England airways will be short lived...
  13. Where said ship already had a great big hole in it and the timely intervention of the u-boat stopped the ship ultimately drifting and sinking into shark invested waters. Yep, sounds like a good analogy to me...;-)
  14. As many have inferred, we ultimately have Lowe to thank for Markus becoming our owner, albeit indirectly...
  15. One thing I've never quite understood is where Richard Fry fitted into all this? As in the "Saints fan" who was the club's account manager (?) at Barclays who, a couple of months after we went into Administration, moved from Barclays to Begbies Traynor (where the coincidently (?) named Mark Fry of course worked) but not before his Begbies website profile was 'mysteriously' removed when it was spotted by someone on here...
  16. That does seem like a 'dumb' statement. When someone says they ate prioritising one thing above another it obviously means that they are giving less attention to something else. I'm in the 'happy to stick with pardew camp' but admitting that you've not given 100% to the league (by natural deduction) is a strange admission
  17. The only valid answer to the OP is "maybe, maybe not". But what worries me more is how the JPT outcome MAY end up affecting us in the near future rather than the recent past. I fear that Carlisle will raise their game when they play us next week to avenge the defeat at wembley. So, ironically perhaps, our JPT cup run may yet bite us in the arse...
  18. Coppell becoming Bristol City manager could well signify that Cortese is 100% behind Alan Pardew for next season. IMHO of course. Not that there was ever any doubt, obviously....
  19. Kettle
  20. Tongue
  21. Was very useful in April 2007 for establishing that Paul Allen's private jet was in the country the same week that the story about him being interested in the club broke in the media... ;-)
  22. Closing footage just now on match of the day 2....Portsmouth administrator signing autograph for a 'fan' as he arrived at the ground....adrian chiles stunned amazement! :-)
