  4. Little known fact: In 1997, the Chuckle Brothers won the 'World's Biggest Sheep' contest with their two metre ewe.
  5. At least the forum has an active moderator now. Been at least two years since we had one of those. Mind you, we've not really needed one given there's been no WUMs on here in living memory...
  6. I've just got in and started watching the last 5 minutes and we look half decent. I'm assuming one can't say the same about the preceding 70 mins?!
  7. Indeed, and if rumours were circling that we were about to sign a Euros winner and world cup player from Portugal, they'd be plenty of salivating on here too, regardless of recent club form
  8. We need to retain players like Targett. Simple as that.
  9. Cheers Jack
  10. You sound surprised?
  11. Just watched 'Travels in Trumpland with Ed Balls' on iPlayer. An 'interesting' watch. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0bdpvhf/travels-in-trumpland-with-ed-balls-series-1-1-proud
  12. Pretty much par for the course over the last 50 years then... http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11096/11373570/sky-sports-ultimate-league-201718-overachieving-and-underachieving-clubs-revealed
  13. You appear not to be aware of how the internet football forum game of "told you so / glad I was proven wrong" works?
  14. I can't recall a genuine ITK who has ever been on the receiving and of "undeserved grief". It's not difficult to spot the difference between a genuine ITK and someone trying to emulate one.

  17. Almost as embarrassing as using the word embarrassing twice in the same sentence?
  18. Don't get me started on the 'youth of today' but why does none of that surprise me...? I've got an 18 year old and a 21 year old and I've convinced myself (through my glasses of a certain tint) that 'we' weren't as dozy at that age 'back in my day'. Of course, we had the advantage of having to use our brains from an early age whereas these days all brain content has been outsourced to 'smart' phones and the like
  19. Chomp chomp chomp Textbook Tick etc
  20. I agree with May; there won't be a re-run of the first referendum (aka "second referendum"). However, I fully expect there to be a first referendum on the outcome of the 'negotiations'. Semantics? Maybe. But semantics is the tool of choice for politicians when it comes to avoiding "lying".
  21. I wonder if that's because Hughes doesn't rate them (Hesketh in particular, as he's been in and around the first team squad for a couple of seasons now) or because the U23s were short of options and got first dibs on them?
  22. Putting the referendum to one side for a mo, at a conceptual/philosophical level, what's wrong with arriving at a different point of view when circumstances change and/or new information comes to light in a given scenario? For example, I used to quite like Rolf Harris. I don't any more though.
