  1. Unless I'm going bonkers (feasible), South Korea played their first game yesterday.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_AFC_Asian_Cup_Group_C

  3. As an aside, how come Son hasn't joined up with South Korea at the Asia Cup and is still playing for Spurs...?

  10. Not boring! (For once)
  11. Yeah, but apart from that, what have the Europeans ever done for us?
  12. So you're the annoying person in front of me in queues who asks the server "can I get...?" something rather "can I have...?"
  13. Cliché territory I know, but my gut feel is that if any manager is going to get the best out of Sims then Hassenhuttl is that man. Sims seems to be the kind of player that Ralph admires (industrious, attack minded, "hungry" etc). Yes, Sims may well have hit a ceiling in terms of his quality, but it's still gotta be worthwhile giving him a final crack of the whip under the new manager before offloading him. Nothing to lose.
  14. Whilst I'm as keen as anyone to see our first game against the new team that plays at Fratton Park, I'd rather wait until both clubs are in the same league. I don't understand the clamour to play them in the cup before then. If we beat them, it'll be nothing to brag about given they're in division 3 and we're in the top league. And if they beat us, we won't hear the end of it. So, what is there to gain by playing them now? The only advantage I can think of is that a win for them could entice the light bulb salesman back onto the forum. Every cloud... Edit: didn't see Hatch's reply before posting. Great minds and all that...
  15. Chomp chomp chomp
  16. Just watched the highlights. Is it just our defenders that consistently turn their backs to the ball, and stick their arses in the air, whenever the opponent has a shot on goal or is this cowardly way of defending something all defenders do these days?
  17. I see the new Portsmouth Football Club have started winning FA Cup games.... Does this mean they've started buying players they can't afford like their predecessor Fratton Park FA Cup cheats?
  18. No. The forum has been troll and WUM free for at least 2 years now, so there hasn't been a need to appoint any mods during this period of time.
  19. Puel only raises his game for the top sides (apparently) so we should walk this one
  20. Barnes isn't in our Premier League squad
  21. Please can you kindly precede such positive posts with a klaxon warning of some sort? Thanks
  22. If the Scots are "so determined" to leave the UK, why did only a quarter of the Scottish electorate vote for the SNP in the 2016 Scottish Parliament election?
  23. I guess a Brexiteer might reply to this with: "So, when 'remain' wins the next referendum, will Remainers come back on here to quote Bognanor's conclusion again?"?
