Them being good for a short time means some good transfers. Being consistently mediocre or shit for a long time because no better club want you, lumbers the club with a bloated squad of shit players you can't shift. The first question is a tu quoque fallacy. The second one wasn't a question even though it used a question mark.
-
He also has the likes of Scienza and Jander who both look to be very good signings (so far).
-
Better to have someone good for a short time, than plod along with someone other clubs think aren't good enough.
-
What about it is not true and why?
-
I do. Just look at the level of club we have lost them too. It isn’t to the likes of Hull and Preston, it is to Chelsea and Man Utd. We cannot and will never be able to compete financially with those clubs.

Juventus apparently want him...

Manage Southampton on Football Manager 2026

I did some things for the women's team, but the majority of the work was done by other people. The men's team data is all by me (apart from new signings). -

Have you read by the player in the quote in the post on X?
-
The only thing missing yesterday was some finishing. We were completely on top throughout. Obviously missing finishing is quite a big issue, as you won't win without it. But it would be significantly more concerning if we weren't creating the numerous chances we had to score in the first place.
-
How have you jumped from what I said in that post to that?
-
Had we not been relegated last season then we'd have been a more viable option for Romulo to move to. Relegation screwed that up. Romulo has even stated part of his motivation for joining Göztepe was the Saints connection. But Saints relegation impacts the appeal of such a move if a club like RB Leipzig then approaches him.
-
Can you really not see how any player or staff member would likely view a move to RB Leipzig as preferable to the Championship? When did I say we should be grateful about it?
-
Your question in the stadium was this... "so when’s the stadium expansion likely to happen then? Any timescales yet?" I have never claimed to know more about it than anything that isn't already in the press. The council, club, owner/chairman and CEO have all been talking about it in the last 18 months. Name a single strawman fallacy I've used.
-
Well if that was the choice, the Göztepe manager is doing the best job of the three SR managers so far. That doesn't mean he'd be right for us though.
-
🙄 They can't be answered due to the very nature of them being strawman fallacies! You've misrepresented my position and then asked questions based on that misrepresentation. It is fundamentally flawed.
-
How is it a reason when the club do not make the game? The rest of your post is riddled with strawman fallacies.
-
What question have I avoided? On numerous occasions I have listed benefits of a multi club model. I even listed some in this thread in the last hour. Now answer my question please.
-
1) You avoided the question. 2) I have criticised Sport Republic numerous times. 3) "All to keep the gig of being the official saints FM researcher? Dont worry, I’m sure the club will be happy at your input here so will renew your contract for another year." Utterly bizarre! The club do not make FM or give me a contract! 4) Yes, there has been a number of stadium expansion pieces of news from the council, club, Solak and Parsons in the past 18 months.

What did I say in that post that is not true?
-
Why would he agree to being loaned to the Championship when he had an offer from RB Leipzig? They can't force him against his will.
-
They can't force him to sign for a 2nd tier English club if he also had an option to join a big club in Germany on bigger wages. Numerous benefits to the multi club model. We've seen some small ones already. With player movement and player loan development. It isn't a short term thing, the big benefits will take time and if you never start them you'll never see them. Some fans are short termist, especially when they see the lub struggling. That does not mean long term plans should all be axed.
-
If it formed part of the money for Jander or Scienza would you be questioning it?
-
True, but I've never said otherwise.
-
Why would he join Championship Saints over RB Leipzig?
