He has managed for 3 seasons in the 24 team Championship and improved each year. His first season at Swansea had a significantly reduced budget compared to the previous manager and came 15th, improved to 10th and then 4th with us. What about that makes League One his level? I think he is a Championship level manager now in League 1, who is out of his depth in the Premier League.

Your point about England caps is also wrong, as Rickie Lambert and James Ward-Prowse both have 11 caps for England!

1) The stats show otherwise regarding his passing. 2) The other players who stayed weren't PL quality, he and others who were sold for big money were. That is why they were wanted and the others weren't. So it would be daft for them to hold any kind of grudge against him. None of them would have stayed with us in the Championship if a £100k+ p/w contract was on offer to them.

He was here for 20+ years. He is hardly disloyal! He then had the opportunity to keep his £100k+ wages and continue at Premier League level after our relegation.
