3rd choice keepers go home and away to 1st team games, he'd also be training with the first team rather than the u21s. It would mean he misses training and u21 games. That isn't beneficial to a 17 year old keeper's development. Will Still has said as much himself.

We only had two senior keepers; you need three. Dylan Moody is 17 years old, it does not really benefit him to spend an entire season on 1st team duty and missing out on some under-21 games where he can develop as a player. The occasional time with the first team would be good so he sees the environment, but he needs to play u21 games.

They didn't have Trafford last season when Carson was at the club. So do you think 39-year-old Scott Carson at Man City was good enough to play at the level of his teammates? Because you claimed "Surley every player we sign 'should' be good enough to play for us, no matter how rare it may be".

Quarshie came from the same team our new chief scout Tim Lederer worked for last season! Downs came from the same league our new chief scout Tim Lederer worked in last season. I don't think they are due to Ankersen input. Roerslev perhaps.

Do you think 39-year-old Scott Carson at Man City was good enough to play at the level of his teammates? It isn't only Saints with 3rd choice keepers who are the weakest link in the 1st team squad. Pretty much every team does it. 3rd choice keeper is not a role where you are likely to play, so decent players will look elsewhere. If George Long plays in a league game, I'd be concerned... because he isn't good at this level. He hopefully won't get near the pitch, as it is rare for 3rd choice keepers to do so.

Making money that can then be reinvested and signing promising players are benefits. So you agree I did now answer the question? Didn't look too hard before complaining about it!

3 goals in 46 league games last season isn't much of a goal threat Nor is 17 league goals in all his 207 Championship games
-
I answered it at the bottom of page 217 of this thread!

I'll write a strongly worded email to Dragan with a list of my -9 and -10 recommendations from the FM26 database

I've answered it

Or... I'm potty training a toddler this summer, and I can't instantly reply all the time! Signing Joachim Kayi Sanda is a benefit of the club group for Saints; using a sister club to turn a potential quick profit on Daouda Traoré is another benefit for Saints.

Wait and see what happens at the end of the window. Complain if it looks a shambles after that. Makes little sense to do so with the typically busiest week of the window still left.

It's only wafer thin

Goztepe have paid his wages since we signed him and also gave us a loan fee and now transfer fee. How is it removing focus on Saints?
-
I'm yet to see a reason why it is negative.
-
Whatever the price was, it benefits us for a player we signed for free. I doubt it was just £1m.
-
How is Göztepe giving us money for a player we signed for £0, not to our benefit? They have also given us a loan fee for him for last season. We've also had other benefits from the multi club setup.
-
Money going to Saints transfer pot is not a bad thing.
-
This benefits Saints. How is it a bad thing? Signed on a free transfer and sold at a profit to our sister club.
-
Saints have sold Juan Santos to Göztepe. Quick profit for PSR.
-
I'm still to be convinced by him, but I'm not writing him off just yet. I've nerfed his CA in FM, PA is still decent.

George Long doesn't need to be good enough to challenge Gavin Bazunu. 3rd choice keepers aren't at clubs to challenge the 1st or even 2nd choice. Ederson wasn't under threat from Scott Carson last season at Man City. They are largely there for training exercises & are unlikely to be used in games.

We need a 3rd choice keeper
-
Dylan Moody at 17 years old needs gametime for the under 21s to develop, not travelling around with the first team. 3rd choice keepers are with the squad on matchdays.
