We do (in some positions), it is just we have a huge amount of injuries. You can't have a squad of 40 senior players just in case lots of the first 25 get injured.
Vardy is 34, Walcott turns 32 in March both going strong and both still have pace. Ings at 28 still has many years left in him. Ings isn't going to stop being effective just because he hits 30.
This is deeply flawed. Why would Martin Semmens care about a Evening Standard story and let it influence him in a business decision? I doubt he is that naive. Pretty daft any agent who thinks a story in a paper influences anything. If it were common practice for agents to do that then clubs would be fully aware not to take any notice of it.
I said it isn't an easy task, I said it is subjective, I then gave an opinion. That doesn't mean I am wrong. Do you know what subjective and opinion mean?
You can't really go back a long way. As comparing a footballer now with one of the 1960s is extremely difficult. Modern footballers have been in professional coaching environments from the age of 8 years old (not the case for footballers pre the 1990s). Their technical ability and fitness levels are generally a long way above those of the 1960s or 1970s.
