  1. This guy is a giant. Would be a great signing. Should have got the nod ahead of Butland in the England squad.
  2. My nephew is captain of Saints' under 14 side. He is a central midfielder or centre back. When he plays for his school they stick him up front. It would be exactly the same if he played for another league team. What use is that to him? Not that he would have a chance. He trains 4 days a week and plays every week so I don't know where he would find the time.
  3. All Jack Cork needs to do is put his face in the way of a shot every now and again and he'll be winning PFA Player of the Year and starting for England in no time.
  4. Incorrect. He signed for Arsenal in January 2006.
  5. Your constant repeating of our "champions league ambitions" et al is growing tiresome. By far the most boring thing on the whole forum. It's on every thread on here. Any chance you can give it a rest for 5 mins?
  6. I agree. Lovely gesture but the banner is pony.
  7. Abdennour what you are going on about...

    Our academy

Go to Saints academy with attitude issues and you'll be slung out on your ear, no matter how good you are.
  9. You realise his club rate him at around £40m don't you? The likes of Real, Barca and Man Utd have been tracking him for some time.
  10. Guthrie is behind Cheick Tiote and Yohan Cabaye at Newcastle. No disgrace at all. Guthrie is a great player, good engine, good passer, tough in the tackle, British and about the right age. I'd hope we'd be making an enquiry.
  11. Eh? They've got an excellent spine to their squad, as good as any team in the Prem outside of Manchester. Krul, Coloccini, S. Taylor, Santon, Tiote, Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Gutierrez, Ba and Cisse are anything but relegation fodder.
  12. I don't get why Fraser Foster didn't get the call up. He fits the bill age-wise and has served a decent apprenticeship on loan at Norwich and now 2 years as first choice at Celtic. Surely a better bet than someone with 26 games under his belt for Cheltenham?
  13. Into the Mystic - Van Morrison
  14. Say hi to Karolina the general manager there if you see her. Polish girl, fit as you like and very game!
  15. It's because you're Southampton.
  16. Sign me up.
  17. Kevin Davies v Everton Le Tissier v Wimbledon (the flicky up free-kick one) Delap v Tottenham
  18. To be fair, I think Ba has only gone off the boil because he has been playing on the left wing since Cisse came in, so he hasn't been the focal point of the attacks. That said, he smacked one against the bar last night too.
  19. Sort of agree but this wasn't just any old long range effort. From that angle, using the outside of his boot against a 'keeper as good as Cech on the half-volley is something very special indeed. In my opinion is was superior to Crouch's.
  20. I hope not because then we'd have 2 mentalists on this forum.
  21. Looks a bit special. Just scored 2 absolute crackers against Chelsea. The 2nd of which is a good shout for goal of the season. 13 goals in 12 games. Not bad for £10m.
  22. Yes, without a doubt. Not by much and perhaps only once but I am confident we will. Gary Hooper could still be the one. I am of the thinking we still need one more forward.

    Bookies

Maybe but its a lot more fun. When it was Ladbrokes it was much better. There is no denying this. The amount of times I'd get to the game ****ed, lay a few bets, forget I had placed the bets until Sunday morning and then find out I'd had a winner or two... Always took the edge off the Sunday morning hangover!
  24. Kaspar Schmeichel is over-rated. Scott Carson? God no.
  25. We have the Championships best goalkeeper as evidenced by his inclusion in this seasons team of the year. Why sign an inferior keeper?
