Not that fussed about today to be honest. Much rather get knocked out and have no other distractions.

Heard something about this on Soccer AM a little while ago. I wasn't sure if they meant he was returning in a coaching capacity or playing. If it's playing it could be a genius move. He is absolute class and will be totally fresh for the 2nd half of the season. I'd certainly take him over the other mugs that play in central midfield for them like Carrick, Anderson and Gibson.

Bit of a cyber warrior. Makes himself out to be a bit of a "boy" but the fact he posts on here as prolifically as he does suggests he is anything but. Because of this I find it very difficult to take him seriously.

The official unofficial January transfer targets thread..

Ba is the real deal. The only reason he won't leave Newcastle any time soon is because his form and record would command a fee north of £20m but no one will take a punt on him for that sort of money with his dodgy knee. -
Haha, I will take this as an attempt at humour. Man Utd lost at home to Blackburn a couple of days ago... I suppose you think Fergie should be sacked as well.
-
Offered considerably more than every ones favourite bum chum Adam Lallana in the last couple of months though. But we can't say that because Lallana is a Saints fan and academy product.
-
Worrying. Fine to lose most of our away games if we are guaranteed a win every time we play at home. When that stops, we need to start picking up points away from home too... players don't seem capable of stamping their authority on away games like they have been at home.
-
Come on Saints, time to show your mettle and grind out this win.
-
I hasten to add we would have absolutely no chance in signing him but if the club is scouting players of his calibre it can only be a good thing!
-
One of the biggest talents in Europe, seen him play a few times and he's always the best player on the park. Even in his two matches against Man Utd this season.
-
If he's half as good as Michael Vorm or Tim Krul have looked this season the sign him up!
-
Valid point but because he "looked lazy" at points during the game, people on here won't recognise it as one.
-
Maybe he is but it's Adkins that keeps picking him.
-
FFS. Yes he would, but Benali was a defender with nothing but guts, pride and passion. People are expecting Guly to display the attributes of someone as gritty as Benali. If he had scored his chance everyone would be on here bumming him.
-
He is, I totally agree and rate him as much as the next Saints fan but today was not his best day. He slowed our attacks down time and again.
-
So what did Lallana contribute today apart from a few neat turns and runs that went nowhere? All he did time and time again was go past his man, and then let them get back in to position. Exactly like Fabrice Fernandes use to do.
-
Haven't signed anyone as yet though have we? Injuries and the fact that De Ridder hasn't made the impact he suggested he would at the start of the season may force them to re-evaluate.
-
We need more energy in midfield. This is more important than another forward at the moment. When Chaplow plays he gives us this but another player to help in this department would help us more than another forward in my opinion.
-
Fine. Stick Dan Harding there then. Surely going to be more competent than Guly in defensive duties.
-
He is a flair player in so much as all he needs is a split second and he can change the game. Either with a pass like last week when Rickie should have scored or with a cute little run like today when he was foiled by a good save from their 'keeper. The fact people are claiming he was largely anonymous today but could still have been our match winner means that he is a flair player.
-
Erm... we didn't lose?
-
Lallana? You have to be joking to give him a mention. Some nice little dribbles but time and time again he slowed down our attacks and didn't pass it quickly enough. It's no good dribbling the ball past someone if you are going to let them get back in to position afterwards. He kept doing it all game. I'd go for Cork or Hooiveld.
-
Still doesn't mean I'm wrong. How many flair players do you know that crunch in to 50/50 defensive headers? Not many, one suspects.
-
Why? We are the divisions top scorers by quite a distance. More important is a right winger who can effect the game for the full 90 minutes and provide a bit of support for the full back. I'd like a new striker but I'd be very surprised if it is a top priority.
-
To be fair, put any south-American "flair" type forward on the back stick and that is exactly what you will get. Can you imagine Luis Suarez attacking that ball with abandon? No, the difference is I'd dare say Dalglish would put someone else there who would. I'm not having a go at Adkins, I think the guy is great but surely he should know this?
