I couldn't agree more. Going to a game used to be a ritual. Then it was entertaining. Then it became, "well what would saturday's be without it?" then, "well I've got a seaon ticket it would be pointless wasting it...." no, it's a case of "I know i've got a season ticket, but I'm not that fussed.....is the sun shining?....is there anything better to do?......." crap isn't it?

Standing ovation for a substituted player. Nobody left early. Everyone off their feet at the final whistle to applaud the ENTIRE team. Frankly we could have won 10-3 I throughly enjoyed it. So did everyone around me and I would guess everyone there did too. Anyone who wasn't there missed a real treat. Keep playing like that and the fans will come back. Everyone has their reasons for not going, but IMO anyone staying away for political reasons are cutting their nose off to spite their face. Go along, the odds are you will see a good game of open football, with committed Saints players and you might actually enjoy it.

If i wanted to take my wife and family to see an Austrian bundesliga match it would cost me a fortune. £10 taxi to Soton airport, flight into somewhere close at about £200 each, plus taxi from the airpot plus match tickets. Jeez we're talking more than a grand all in. Couple that with the potential to be sitting near a guy who keeps his wife and family in a lock up in the basement and all in all, I would sooner go to St Mary's......... (without the wife) :-)

Jonh and MCG started upfront. Jonh subbed after 15mins, but apparently started with 'flu. quiet first half, "good save" from Davis quoted a couple of times. OG for our first. Pen for the second from Surman, after a trip on Lanana, second pen for us after Surman was tripped and he missed it...(or Sullivan saved it)
