Said to my mate at the game - this game is lined up for Matty to come on and score and he obliged! Fairytale stuff. I don’t think I have ever heard a goal celebrated so loudly.

The best team goal without doubt the one in the Keegan/Channon era - a thing of beauty. Individual MLT against NUFC when he flicks it over two of their defenders and side foots it into the corner (but there are numerous others from him). I class myself as very lucky to have seen most of his as they happened and the team goal above.

One of the problems with this site - people unable to accept when they are wrong. They think it’s a sign of weakness when in fact it’s the opposite. We all know Baz is a worse keeper than Peretz it’s as obvious as the nose on your face and to suggest anything else is just plain ridiculous but because whitey has stuck up for Baz in the past then he feels compelled to keep doing it.

Was sat in block 20 just about in line from where he hit it - there isn’t a goalie intbe world that was stopping that - the curl was immense.

Think it’s nice to have a striker that attacks the near post.
