  1. Was speaking to my friend who follows European football about this Joshua Zirkzee guy. He said; Very talented but massive attitude problem
  2. Yes and I wouldn't write them off. I'm just saying, from a fan's perspective I wouldn't be crying about it if they didn't sign.
  3. If it was a PL game and it was a Liverpool or United player, you just know the commentator would have said something stupid like "Well the fact that he went down SO theatrically means it must be a penalty"
  4. Delap has made 2 appearances and scored 0 goals for his club. Broja scored 6 in 32. Though I'm sure there's more about them both than that stat makes out, I wouldn't be devastated if we went in a different direction. Dembele ideally.
  5. Good luck to the lad. If the rumours are true that he's going to be on £9k a week, at 16 he'd be utterly mental to turn it down.
  6. Still can't get over that dive in the lead up to our third goal. They should dedicate a stamp in that player's honour just for having the cheek to try it.
  7. Him, or CB's or both?
  8. It wasn't dire at all. It wasn't even bad.
  9. I need to see that amazing dive again...
  10. Meh, even if we concede 2 now and lose, this has still been a really enjoyable watch with tons of positives.
  11. Djenepo looking a different player this pre season. Aribo oozing class. Valery not put a foot wrong at CB. Lyanco his usual, unpredictable, whacky but incredibly lovable self. Really really enjoying this. And people will go "BUT IT'S ONLYA FRIENDLY" but if we're allowed to slip our wrists when we draw/lose a friendly, I see no reason why we can't celebrate winning one!
  12. 2-1 Stu Armstrong! Great finish!!!!
  13. So do you. If we're doom and gloom and we're losing the friendly, why wouldn't we be happy clappy when we're not? Valery, since his conversion to CB has literally not put a foot wrong.
  14. Spot on. I'm really enjoying this.
  15. Valery is very good as a CB!
  16. Scoring a goal you mean? Remind me what the object of the game is again?
  17. I'm not a Redmond fan but that was brilliant from him! Would have been so easy to just give up.
  18. You were saying?
  19. 1-1 AA - Ralph for PM
  20. Now that Valery has put one into the keeper's hands, I make that every outfield player (bar Djenepo who's just come on) has had a shot?
  21. Who ended up winning it that season again? One of the usual suspects no doubt.
  22. So far today I've seen our fans: Wish career ending injuries on a 16 year old for going to the club he supports for ridiculous money Suggest that the owner is "lining his pockets" because we're not going to spend £50 Million on one player (despite the fact we've spent nearly £60 Million so far without selling anyone) Now we're whinging about some fringe players getting a run out in a pre season friendly?? Premier League fans get more and more ridiculous year by year. I do wonder about Premier League fan bases sometimes...
  23. Wouldn't blame him tbf. Our fanbase are such a bunch of Karen's.
  24. This. Koeman was vastly overrated. Everyone always remembers the good parts but no one likes to talk about those dismal November - February runs we went on, the fact that his two league cup games ended in a 6-1 home defeat by Liverpool reserves and a 1-0 defeat at Sheff Utd who were two divisions below us and as for the "We finished 6th" thing - That was the season Leicester won the league, Spurs finished third in a two horse race, the worst Arsenal team in history finished second, Chelsea were not far from the bottom half, Liverpool were conceding 6 against Stoke on the last day and United were in freefall. With the squad we had that season (Mane, Pelle, Tadic, VVD, Fonte, Wanyama, Morgan), we should have absolutely finished in the top 4 and there's no reason why we couldn't have won the league since Leicester did. I'm not convinced their squad, man for man, was that much better than ours. Koeman's flopped since leaving us and had a few questionable jobs before us as well.
  25. Good luck to him. I would quite happily play for Pompey and send Saints down if I were on £10k a week at 16 and he doesn't even have an emotional affiliation to us.
