The last 5 years has been Saints best ever in terms of excitement, drama, and overall story telling. There have been bigger moments in time, like '76 or finishing second in the old First division........but over 5 years? Recent times are unmatched. I consider myself lucky to have been around for it all. The manner of the FA cup fall to Sunderland still hurts me, and is a fly in the ointment for me, but what the hell, flies apparently have a disposition that makes them tend to reside in ointments. Such is life.

I feel that we will maybe hold our current level for 1 or 2 seasons, maybe less.....Then drift back into our old ways of being perennial strugglers. That is my opinion based mainly on my experiences as a Saints supporter. Anything better than that is pure hope and fantasy, but I dare to dream. And I am what the WUMs call a happy clapper blinded by optimism!!
