Great start from Steve!

Well, I'm looking for a very different second half. Have been all along.
-
Oh crap. I hope KD is OK
-
Holy crap! That was fun!! LOL
-
It ain't good when you see KD wiping sweat!
-
More corners like that one please!!
-
If we can keep a clean sheet this half, they will be knackered in the second
-
Me too

Nerves are already killing me, knowing that we have to win just to maintain that 5 point lead I've been enjoying so much the last few days.

Nigel Adkins......best manager we've had since Ted Bates?

I agree with all that too! I was thinking just yesterday that for the first time in years, I might like to see us get a good FA cup run together. -

I agree with all that. It would be a shame if NA ever got the England job though. One of NA's stronger points is that he does NOT work with overpaid prima donna girly-boys. -
Personally, I'd crap on the carpet and wipe my ass on the curtains. But then I've never worked in sales.

Or, to the tune of "Tell Laura I love her" Tell Wycombe, I miss her

Like most people here have probably been doing, I've read just about every report of the game I can lay my hands on. I'm thoroughly sick of reading Fat Sam's "Soft goal" comment, which implies that Jos didn't deserve his goal due to some kind of woeful defending or huge slice of luck on our part. It was a goal from a corner!! They almost ALL look like that FFS!! Quit calling it a soft goal you sad, twisted lump of girly fat!!! Glad I got that off my chest.

What you say is true. However, I think that 60's football differed greatly from 70's football as the game was developing very quickly in those days. Personally, I would never compare the two, even though they shared one season in some kind of weird joint managerial role. I see Ted's place in our history more as a lifetime achievement rather than just his managerial role. Lawrie was the more impressive manager. There is a special place for both of them in differing roles. Back to the OP, I would love to see NA achieve a special place in our club's history. I really like the guy, and I believe he has the potential for greatness. -
I have little doubt that we will gain auto promotion. Probably as champs. There, I said it. It's not just because of our current position either. I'm a great believer in what NA is doing with the psychology of the team. Since the middle of last season we have been growing steadily in confidence, and as NA has got to know the players better, his tactical decisions have improved. Sure, there will be injuries and suspensions, but we are suffering those right NOW (especially AL) and are still doing well. I think our key strength at the moment is our team spirit, and I honestly can't see anything coming along to spoil that. NA seems to go out of his way to make sure that only good team players stay at the club (look at Puncheon) We might not have the best players in this division, but I do feel we have the best team players, and the best manager. I think that NA has proved that you don't need to be an overbearing A-hole to be a good manager when it is much easier to hand pick those that will have your back, and perform out of their skins for you.

Too early for this. I hope this will prove to be the case in the future though. -
What!? We've got to play MORE games!? Can't we just end the season now, please?
-
Well, I didn't get any work done yesterday, first through nerves, and then through joy. An hour into this morning and I STILL haven't started work yet while catching up on all the reports etc!
-
We are winning games while playing badly?

It seems to me that he is being used as a sub mainly to confuse the opposition with his pace late in the game. To throw the pattern off kilter and generally disrupt the pattern of previous play.
