He won't sign a new contract. We can take the £15m now and invest in a new striker or we can run his contract down and keep him for the season. Problems with 1st option: Need to replace the goals he would likely score for us this season. Need 20 - 25 goals from a new striker. Get that wrong and it would likely be the difference between getting promoted or not Problems with 2nd option: If we do not get promoted, he walks for free and we have to get a new striker minus the £15m we could have used for that purchase. Also, we run the risk of a pissed off player who doesn't settle and give his all for us (think that wouldn't be the case with Che as he is an honest lad) As he won't sign a new contract, I think the club has to sell in order to protect a £15m investment. Everything depends on the quality of replacement (obvious signing is Piroe i think)

Manning slipped for their goal and wasn’t quick enough to make up the ground to block the cross - fair enough. The more concerning one was him backing off and backing off which led to their attacker hitting the post. You can’t just keep backing off with the attacker a few yards from goal

Yep, without Tella and Chelé's goals we could potentially be sitting on zero points this season! So if they do go, we need equal quality coming in
