  1. Sorry but nothing that's said on an internet forum is stopping him from developing. I don't buy the "he was a victim of being in a shit team piece". I get he is young and will make a mistake or two, but if he carries on as he is, he will cost us points this season for sure. Your argument that he's 21 and won't peak for another 8 or 9 years is all the more reason to bring in a 1st choice GK and let Baz play understudy for a while.
  2. Maddison only had a year left on his contract. Leicester did well to get that fee
  3. Agreed - it is exactly our stated model. Take a punt on youngsters from the big clubs and attempt to turn a profit. We'd be going against our stated strategy if we didn't sell him
  4. Pretty sure KWP will be off too
  5. I'm sure the oil barons will be interested to have a poke around his ACL surgeries is what I meant
  6. Let's see what the medical turns up before saying this is a done deal!
  7. It's a loan deal right?
  8. Perhaps they could do a sponsored walk with Liverpool.
  9. You sound a bit like the Leicester fan who was on here a while back gloating about how positive things were for them 🙂
  10. Last time we got relegated it needed the whole organisation to burn down. And out of that rose the Phoenix that was the team containing Ricky, Banana, Spiderman, Fonte etc Hoping we don't need that this time, but have to agree with you - I was naively thinking a benefit of relegation might be getting rid of the absolute dross shite players and performances we had to suffer last year.
  11. So it’s a pass from you but not from Holgate 😀
  12. Making any sort of connection between Tella and Nelson Mandela is bizarre in itself. Making assertions about having to "free" a person of colour is also bizarre. Lots of connotations not thought through.
  13. If you think about it, even if the deal is done, that is still cringeworthy and disrespectful. Expect that kind of thing from fans but not from owners of the clubs involved
  14. Obafemi for a couple of million and Redmond on a free aren't going to set the prem on fire mate
  15. It's also very ironic - I mean who on earth would want to be "freed" only to end up in a ghastly shithole like burnley?
  16. It is cringe either way and pretty disrespectful too
  17. Would be a great signing, you would think a prem side might be interested though?
  18. Me too, makes so much sense
  19. It isnt. We need to lose both of them and get some fresh blood in
  20. Now you mention those names, makes me nostalgic - bloody hell what a team we ended up building. I fear the current lot are nowhere near that standard. Hopefully Wilcox and the rest realise what is blindingly obvious and get some character in the team soon
  21. We need 3 or 4 leaders on the pitch. Didn't have any last year, and will need them all the more in the champs. Currently we stand to get bullied at numerous away grounds this season. Haven't seen Manning yet, but hoping he might be one.
  22. Was listening to a newcastle podcast. They reckon the £30m Livra bid from them was structured in such a way that the upfront amount payable was paltry and thats why we rejected it. They reckon a new bid will be made with higher amount payable up front and also going up to £40m. Might be BS, but thought I'd pass it on
  23. league two hoofball
  24. Exactly this - none of the current CBs fit this style. We need to replace them all if we want CBs who are happy with the ball at their feet, playing passes etc.
  25. West Ham fans on KUMB seem to think it is more than fair. Take this comment for example: I Think 17m is a good starting point for JWP. Why over pay for british players if there isn't much competition for them? Im sure Southampton want to sell JWP beacause they are in the championship. Then dont we as buyers dictate his price to a certain degree who are we competing with?
