Just how sure were you? Broncos ain't looking that good but somehow are getting the wins. Ask a Colts fan how easy it is to grind out a win of any kind. It ain't. That 95 yard drive to get the winning TD was quality. Highlights here: http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2011111700/2011/REG11/jets@broncos#tab=recap&menu=highlights Here's to MIN, CHI & NE victories over the weekend. Especially the Bears. Chargers to finish bottom of the AFCW. Of all the teams around they suck the most. Hi LV - how's it going?

https://secure.foxsoccer.tv/buy says you can get a month for $10 - but then you have to make sure to cancel or else you'll be clobbered for a yearly subscription. I have no idea how easy they make it for you to cancel - never tried it. Has anyone done this before? From experience with other sites they often make it so you have to call them to cancel it - there's no nice big button on the website. This one may different - don't know...

I'd heard that SFC were gonna blast 'Now He's a Poof' by the Macc Lads out of the PA on Sat. I suppose they'll have to change their minds now.

Wash your mouth out. Quickly. With a good strong bleach. The Chargers are probably my most hated team. Glad to see them struggling this year. Jets @ Broncos this Thurs night. Going to be an interesting game. Broncos to nick it I reckon though.

Was just nipping this suggestion in the bud before anyone tried to make anything of it. Eastleigh though? They can f#ck off the dirty Northern b#stards.

Stop! Stop! Stop! There is no Saints/Totton rivalry. Never has been - never will. Totton is a Saints stronghold. Having Saints clear at the top of the league and Totton making the FA Cup Rd 2 (and getting a cracking draw) is just amazing. The funny thing is that along with pub questions such as 'would you eat a bucket of sh#t for a million quid' there sometimes would be the stupid of question of 'what if Totton played Saints in the FA Cup - who would you support?'. That scenario is still a long way off. A damn sight closer than anyone could have dreamed of a few years back though. Surreal.

Thanks - but can't listen to it in America ("not available in your territory"). Good updates on: http://live.skysports.com/ScoreCentre/football.html (click the game and it's got play-by-play text updates). Plus the BCFC players mentioned the goal. Their dreams of a Bradford v Bradford 2nd Rd game are fading. Long way to go yet though. Come on you Stags!

http://www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk/page/player/LatestNews If you have a Saints Player subscription you can listen to Bradford City v Rochdale on BCFC's Player. I assume they will be giving updates from the Totton v Bradford Park Avenue game. Better than nothing.

Gutted - got to listen to all the pre-match stuff on Solent online and how it's blocked due to 'contractual reasons'. For anyone listening on Solent radio (999 am) (or at the game) the odd update would be appreciated.

Yeah it is true that screaming at the TV only works for live games - I do give it a go on delayed ones as well though cos you never know. Parallel universes and all that. The worst thing I hate about delayed games is I think that they are gonna scroll the scores across the bottom of the screen - including the game I am watching. I've not been stung like that (yet) this season so hopefully they are clued up enough to not do that. They've not got the Pompey game listed on http://www.foxsoccer.tv/ yet. Even if it is I think I'll still stick with the 3 hour delay. I don't think any provider shows Championship games in HD on FSP. It's funny how we are all HD snobs now. Won't be too many years before it will be 'I ain't watching that HD 3D showing of it cos you still have to wear glasses to watch that channel'. Anyway - enjoy the games everyone.

This was 3 years ago. Has she been on there since? I actually like some of Lovejoy's Carry-On style gags on here. About her being good at sprinting "yeah because you were a yard in front of all the other girls" - insert a Sid James style laugh and there ya go... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BJH_eAX_EE Does she still mention Saints at all in any interviews? Would be good to see her as a matchday pundit. Especially if back in the Prem where games go round the world. A lot of blokes pick a team to support for the most w#nky reasons - 'the one that Lucy likes' wouldn't be too far fetched...

I prefer beer darts: [video=youtube;clv0S--z4p0]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clv0S--z4p0 I still can't believe the shocking darts near the end when he only gets a single pint. That was bad.

The delayed games seem a bit random. Brighton ain't on the TV in the UK. Due to being on a road trip it could end up with me avoiding the score of that one for 8 days. Not sure how feasible this is going to be. It would be good getting home & knowing you've got a game to watch though. I'm with ya DanW on 'delay ain't the same thing'. It ain't but we can't be too choosey. I'd way rather be at the actual game anyway. Going from 8am to 11am ain't too bad though. It would have been worse if if was live at midday and not shown til 3pm. All think we'll be in the Prem next season? At this moment in time I'm quietly confident. When Cov came back to 2-2 I did think 'back to reality - here we f#ckin go' but nope - we score another 2 to claim the 3 points. It's a poor league. We've come up against pretty much every team that is supposed to be good and well - they just ain't. Keep creating chances like we have been and the league is definitely there for the taking. I actually think these international breaks are coming in quite handy. It's like a lot of mini-seasons. We start the next mini-season with a head start on the others. It gives time for everyone to get their head together, iron out little things that ain't quite working (not sure what!) and then start over again.

*** Saints v Brighton is on Fox Soccer Plus (FSP) 8pm ET Sunday 20th (34 hour delay) *** Saints v Blackpool. LIVE on FSP. Sat Dec 10. 7.30am ET *** Pompey v Saints. FSP. Sunday 18th Dec. 11am. So a 3 hour delay. I can well handle that. Gonna be a little bit torturous knowing the game has already finished but I'm def gonna avoid the score and watch it 'as live'. 11am is better for a few beers as well. Good news that it is being shown.

The Broncos haven't quite been playing as well as I thought they might this season (to put it politely). Somehow they managed to win in Oakland yesterday though & are now only 1 game behind 1st place in the AFC West. Tebow looked awful (again) in the 1st half but in the 2nd half he got it together quite well and he managed some good passing plays. Any young QB does need time to adjust to the NFL. On another day he could have been subbed at HT. Luckily he wasn't. Who knows what Broncos team will turn up next week in KC - and who knows what KC team will turn up? It is a crazy division.

Quite a few Man City fans had a tough time getting to QPR as well: http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=238742

At St Marys: - any penalty miss by the other team - 'who's the w#nker with the flag' v Blackpool when it was pretty windy - The Tango Man v Bully dance-off v Sheff Weds at the evening game - The (almost) cheer when We#twood first rang his bell at the LC night game v Pompey - followed by 'you can stick your f#ckin bell up your a#se'. - The bionic woman steward - if you saw her run then you will remember...

"a good season to get promoted" is any season. You are up near the top and loving every minute. If you get relegated the next season then so what? It's better to have loved & lost than spent your whole life w#nking.

This sums it up well. Here in Indiana: - I can buy as many lottery tickets as I want - I can go to a bar and put as much money as I want into some machine that gives out fruit machine type scratch cards (no actual fruities are allowed but this is basically the same thing) - In the center of downtown Indianapolis there is an off-track bookies. It has 3 levels with 100's of TV's. You can drink and smoke there. You can bet on any horse race you want (no sports book though) - There are quite a few casino's in Indiana where I can play all the usual games for real money and lose a small fortune So I can gamble here - but I can't easily play a $10 sit 'n' go online poker game or put $20 on Saints to win the league - cos it is illegal. Yep - it's a mess. That UIGEA bill should be shot down - it was pushed through sneakily at the end of Bush's tenure. A great passing shot - thanks George. Tw#t.

Totton are actually in Division 7 nowadays: 1 - Prem 2 - Champ 3 - L1 4 - L2 5 - Conf 6 - Conf South 7 - Southern Prem (Totton are currently 2nd - point behind leaders with a game in a hand - http://www.southern-football-league.co.uk/league-tables/premier.asp) I remember playing in the goalmouths over at Testwood Park as kids. We often had to leg-it when the groundsman turned up. Amazing to see how they have progressed in recent years. As for the FA Cup TV coverage in the USA. On FSC & FSP there are 6 live games and 2 full delayed ones. Pretty impressive really - I'll def try and watch some of them. Cambridge v Wrexham (live) Alfreton v Carlisle (live) Newport County - Shrewsbury (live) Swindon v Huddersfield (live) Morecambe v Sheff Wed (live) Halifax v Charlton (live) Fleetwood v Wycombe (delayed) East Thurruck v Macclesfield (delayed) Here's to Totton getting to Rd 2 and getting a TV friendly draw. Looks like they'd have a good chance of being shown over here.

Move to America and then you will look back fondly on being able to lose that fiver on 'Saints to win 6-0' and you would love for gambling adverts to appear during games. Gambling is only bad if you let it get that way. Same as drinking or breaking the speed limit in a car. Beer & fast cars are advertised - so why not bookies? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unlawful_Internet_Gambling_Enforcement_Act_of_2006 is the worst law ever passed.

ok - always thought that Tivo was just DVR. Guess it is in a way. I've not ever had any probs with the standard Directv DVR - it seems to work fine. You can record stuff online from their website if you want. All pretty handy & simple. Can't see any more SFC games showing up on TV at the moment. Hopefully we'll get some before March. After that they won't bother cos we'll already have the title in the bag so there will be no interest in our games at all. AFC Totton have made the FA Cup Rd 1 for the 1st time ever. 1st & 2nd round games are on TV here but they drew Bradford Park Avenue so no chance of that getting shown. It is well winnable though so they could get a bigger name in Rd 2. Seeing Totton on TV in the USA would be freaky. See what happens...
-
Surprise, surprise - they sorted it out. Hooray! What is the difference between Tivo and a Directv DVR box then? I can DVR stuff in HD fine on Directv - and have been able to for ages. I avoided the Mboro score. Was a great game to watch. I did have to rewind the 3rd goal a couple of times to see where it actually started from. Another win last night. It's all looking a bit too good at the moment - what's the catch?
-
These TV v Provider disputes seem to happen quite often. Both blame each other but usually something is worked out. Full list of affected channels here: http://www.ourpromisetoyou.com/faq-en/what-are-the-specific-channels-involved (a Directv propaganda site - hence all the crap afterwards about what you'll still be able to watch) I can't believe it's an issue - surely they know that most of America gets up on a Sat & Sun morning to watch English football on FSC/FSP. How can they even think about dropping them? See what happens. I bet even if the stations in question get dropped then they'll be back quite soon after both sides then come to 'some agreement'.

Saints v Reading. An easy score-avoid and enjoyed being able to watch it - without actually enjoying it that much (if that makes sense - you know what I mean). Saints fans in good voice and a great equaliser though. A quick look at the table quickly gets rid of any thoughts of being too gutted. I'm actually starting to get quietly confident about going up. There is a long way to go but it's nice to start this 'long way to go' at the front of queue. Saints ain't total world-beaters but nor are any other teams in this division. Here's to a LC quarter final and 3 points v Mboro this week.
