  1. Contact with the keeper happened before the header. Bit of a grey area this one. I can see why it was given, I can also see why it could have been reversed.
  2. Quick bit of advice, Nic. If you’re gonna call others thick, get your grammar right whilst doing so 👍
  3. There’s many things to criticise Russell Martin for. It’s moronic to blame him for only winning the playoff final by a single goal.
  4. And it’s my ball, and I’m going home. Harrumph.
  5. You of anyone should know better than believing the mainstream media, Nic. What are you doing reading the Independent? I thought us sheeple needed to open our eyes?
  6. That article has actually been fairly kind to her, she seems like a piece of work given some of the other comments that have been attributed to her at the trial. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/lucy-connolly-sentence-tory-councillor-husband-twitter-post-b2630930.html
  7. Round of applause for Labour.
  8. Well that's not true either 🤣
  9. I wasn't commenting on the quality of our squad, merely refuting the lunatic suggestion that none of our squad have been above where they are now.
  10. 🤣 Adam Lallana says hi. So do all of the players in our squad who have in previous season(s) played significant amounts of games in the Premier League and actually stayed up, which is a significant level above where we are now. There's quite a few of those players.
  11. The BBC should be facing an investigation just for putting that fucking programme on air in the first place.
  12. There's this remarkable thing called "Google", it lets you find out all sorts of things. https://www.gmp.police.uk/news/greater-manchester/news/news/2024/october/statement-on-manchester-airport-incident/
  13. To borrow Duckie’s favourite overused phrase……..new broom.
  14. There was immediate anger and despair from many senior Tories after the result was announced, with several predicting that neither of the final two candidates would actually contest a general election. “This almost certainly means we’re going to have to go through it all again this side of an election,” said a former cabinet minister. “There’s no way those two people – either of them – can reunite the party, let alone the country. It’s almost the worst possible outcome. “There’s always a chance that somebody can rise to the occasion and become a statesman when we least expect it. But in both these instances, these are people who have got flawed personalities. Kemi is divisive and aggressive and wrong about everything, and Jenrick is manipulative – and can be manipulated. They will be dancing on the fucking tables at Labour HQ.”
  15. Not sure about an argument Nick, i posted a factual graph of the exchange rate and how it has performed since election day, and over the past year. I’m no ForEx expert but I imagine it’s better to look at exchange rates over an extended period rather than days or weeks.
  16. Which is all well and good if you expect the Reform party to step down again and make way for the Tories. Personally I can’t see that dynamic happening again, given they’ve now got actual MPs. Chasing the right while also trying to regain the centre? Good luck.
  17. Well let’s have a look shall we. Looks to me that, since the election, the currency market has been rather volatile but the rate has levelled off just a smidge higher than it was on election day. Which itself was the highest it had been for around a year.
  18. Chasing the Reform vote worked so well last time.
  19. I thought his name was Nige. #confusedface
  20. At least one of them seems to have it bang on the money. “The sound you can hear in the background is the barrel being scraped,” they said. “We have a choice of an ECHR one-trick pony, who believes our special forces murder people, and an anti-woke one-trick pony who picks endless fights. As a choice, it’s shit.”
  21. This news comes to you courtesy of Nick who for so long has been tireless in his condemnation of all governments down the years, and has definitely not allowed his preferred politics an easy ride at any time, no sir. ”if I had no self awareness, I think I’d know”.
  22. Newsflash. Woman goes on holiday. Scandalous. Absolutely fucking desperate stuff 🤣
  23. He fed them well 👌
  24. Electronic Entry System (EES) November launch date likely to be delayed (again). https://www.theguardian.com/world/2024/oct/09/plan-to-fingerprint-passengers-on-entry-to-eu-to-be-delayed-again
  25. Out of interest what level of “poor season” are you expecting this squad to have? Let’s not forget, the manager in charge is the one who has overseen this squad being put together, spending in the area of £200m doing so since he arrived here. As for the lack of naysayers, there were loads, it’s rubbish to suggest there weren’t. Certainly the pervading feeling was one of “great season, really enjoyed it, but if we don’t tighten up a lot at the back we’ll get mullered in the Premier League”.
