  1. I think nic is a brilliant poster.
  2. I did read that yesterday and wondered what the great unwashed are going to think about having the luftwaffe patrolling our skies.
  3. No. Politicians may be in different parties but it doesn’t mean they’re not allowed to speak to each other.
  4. He hadn't been in front of a judge and jury, no. But.... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/clyly5122yeo "Chris Kaba shot man in nightclub days before his death" is the headline. Sounds like he was a lovely chap.
  5. I was in Southampton with my cousins but didn't have tickets to the game. We stood outside a Rumbelows near Debenhams that had Ceefax page 303 on for about the whole second half.
  6. So, for season 2022-23: Ralph got the gun on 7th November, a 1-4 home defeat to Newcastle in our 14th league game of the season being the straw that broke the camel's back. We had avoided the bottom 3 all season (except after week 1) until after the Newcastle game when we dropped to 18th. We had 12 points from 14 games at that point. Jonesy was appointed on 10th November, saw the side lose at Liverpool, then didn't play again in the league until Boxing Day. As we know he lost 7 out of 8 in the league, a rare win at Booodison Park providing his only points return. 3 points from 8 league games (plus a cup win against Man City). Selles took over for the rest of the season and had 16 games in charge. Lost 10 of those, won twice, drew 4. 10 points from 16 games. SR have pulled the trigger 3 times before with underperforming managers. One wonders how long until number 4 comes along.
  7. I don't think they'll have to.
  8. Which is a different issue to him interfering with play while at in an offside position.
  9. He wasn’t offside when he backed in. You can’t be offside from a corner. He was in an offside position when the header was made, but the backing in had been done by then. My instinct would be to disallow it, but as I said earlier, I can see both sides of it.
  10. Contact with the keeper happened before the header. Bit of a grey area this one. I can see why it was given, I can also see why it could have been reversed.
  11. Quick bit of advice, Nic. If you’re gonna call others thick, get your grammar right whilst doing so 👍
  12. There’s many things to criticise Russell Martin for. It’s moronic to blame him for only winning the playoff final by a single goal.
  13. And it’s my ball, and I’m going home. Harrumph.
  14. You of anyone should know better than believing the mainstream media, Nic. What are you doing reading the Independent? I thought us sheeple needed to open our eyes?
  15. That article has actually been fairly kind to her, she seems like a piece of work given some of the other comments that have been attributed to her at the trial. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/lucy-connolly-sentence-tory-councillor-husband-twitter-post-b2630930.html
  16. Round of applause for Labour.
  17. Well that's not true either 🤣
  18. I wasn't commenting on the quality of our squad, merely refuting the lunatic suggestion that none of our squad have been above where they are now.
  19. 🤣 Adam Lallana says hi. So do all of the players in our squad who have in previous season(s) played significant amounts of games in the Premier League and actually stayed up, which is a significant level above where we are now. There's quite a few of those players.
  20. The BBC should be facing an investigation just for putting that fucking programme on air in the first place.
  21. There's this remarkable thing called "Google", it lets you find out all sorts of things. https://www.gmp.police.uk/news/greater-manchester/news/news/2024/october/statement-on-manchester-airport-incident/
  22. To borrow Duckie’s favourite overused phrase……..new broom.
  23. There was immediate anger and despair from many senior Tories after the result was announced, with several predicting that neither of the final two candidates would actually contest a general election. “This almost certainly means we’re going to have to go through it all again this side of an election,” said a former cabinet minister. “There’s no way those two people – either of them – can reunite the party, let alone the country. It’s almost the worst possible outcome. “There’s always a chance that somebody can rise to the occasion and become a statesman when we least expect it. But in both these instances, these are people who have got flawed personalities. Kemi is divisive and aggressive and wrong about everything, and Jenrick is manipulative – and can be manipulated. They will be dancing on the fucking tables at Labour HQ.”
  24. Not sure about an argument Nick, i posted a factual graph of the exchange rate and how it has performed since election day, and over the past year. I’m no ForEx expert but I imagine it’s better to look at exchange rates over an extended period rather than days or weeks.
  25. Which is all well and good if you expect the Reform party to step down again and make way for the Tories. Personally I can’t see that dynamic happening again, given they’ve now got actual MPs. Chasing the right while also trying to regain the centre? Good luck.
