  1. If they're going to do it, it should only be for amateurs. Golf is still one of the rare sports where there is a clear difference between professional and amateur codes, and where both codes have their own significant place in the game on an international level.
  2. Christ alive, the state of the two monsters going for women's Judo bronze now. The 20 stone Ukranian makes our "girl" look attractive. I wouldn't want to mess with either of these two.
  3. Fine. Paralympic wheelchair dog walking. Come to think of it, I'd probably prefer watching that to f*cking dressage.
  4. Dressage. What a complete non-sport. What's next, dog walking?
  5. She can chuck my spam javelin whenever she wants.
  6. Al da Man?
  7. He's hardly played as it is in pre-season; he seems to be behind Guly and Puncheon at RM. And Adkins has hinted that he wants to bring in another winger, as we have Lallana and JRod on the left it would only make sense for the winger to play on the right, thus pushing Chaplow down to 4th choice. At CM he is behind Cork, Schneiderlin, David, JWP and Hammond. The better question would perhaps be, do you think Chaplow is going to establish himself in front of all those players, and how?
  8. Wayback machine has got the old Saints Forever sites for some nostalgic viewing! http://wayback.archive.org/web/20050601000000*/http://www.saintsforever.com
  9. I thought the David Beckham thing was Wacko Jacko the photocopier salesman?
  10. Ha ha, I do remember that, quality! Keef's turnaround from club critic to complete lapdog following the pre-season tour was remarkable, he started banning people left right and centre who brought it up. Some of Essruu's photoshops were funny, SRS was on the receiving end of 2 or 3 that I can remember. Including a mocked up student card, I seem to recall, after one too many predictable anti-student rants.
  11. Howie's a good hometown lad, I don't think he'll get wrapped up in the whole "amazing fans" bullsh*t. That was pretty creative headlining, I don't see anything in his comments that suggest he was even impressed let alone "blown away".
  12. Whatever happened to Roger Beeks? And Master Bates? And SaintLee?
  13. Keith Legg going on the pre-season tour and the sh*t-storm it created was something to behold.
  14. Hmmmmm. Just read some more of his actual statement: Not so much lost in translation, and I think we all know the German sense of humour probably wouldn't encapsulate that. Oops...
  15. Dave brailsford was interviewed on BBC about it and asked if he had any complaints; he said no, it was a fair decision.
  16. Also, the commentator said to him: "So you were trying to pull a fast one?", and he said "Yes, I was trying to go as fast as possible."
  17. Bear in mind he's German and has only lived here for 2 years. There were other questions that he was asked that he clearly didn't understand probably. Although it does sound a little bit dodgy....
  18. Puncheon can and has played in all sorts of positions; left wing, right wing, centre midfield and behind the front striker. Chappers in comparison plays right mid or centre mid. And Punch has featured a lot more in pre-season than Chaplow so I'd expect him to stay unless we sign a couple of wingers, which I don't think we will.
  19. A bit more than that; BBC just saying her time was exactly the same as the one that won gold in Beijing. Edit: what you said!
  20. Matt Jarvis please; proper statement of intent. Doubt we can afford him and one or two decent centre backs though.
  21. I'm sure someone posted a picture of him as a security guard in Asda.
  22. The poor lad tried to claim he'd just been having a laugh all along; he got absolutely rinsed. I also remember the photo of him put up there which defied his bullsh*t claims of what grand job he did (can't remember what that was now) and he turned out to be an Oxford-based security guard.
  23. I don't think anything will ever top the episode of Crouchie and his lawyer on b-anter. Aboslutely gold.
  24. This is it. CVA-1 failing was exactly the same as not agreeing a CVA. 10 points is an outrage for that. There is the argument that CVA-1 creditors may have agreed to a renegotiation of the terms of their repayment but I don't buy that, i think if you agree to a CVA in the first place its either honoured or it fails, there's no middle ground. Minus 15 at least is what they should have been docked, arguably a fair bit more. There should also have been an extra punishment for two administrations in such a short space of time.
  25. Perhaps. I think definitely a higher points penalty, 15 at least. As for an embargo I'd worry it might be a bit draconian. I'm yet to hear someone come up with an idea where you think "yep, that's what they should do", which I guess is why we're where we are.
