  1. Presumably the same over-priced slop they sell inside the stadium.
  2. I think you'll find that particular gentleman is a prominent poster on this message board also.
  3. Despite only playing for 30 minutes? Must have been amazing.......
  4. Do you mean apart from the £10M+ spent already? Or just new money spent?
  5. Yep, agreed. A couple of friends of mine who work in the industry have suggested the same thing. There's a big difference between lining up a sale and being desperate to offload, of course.
  6. Really? How so? I'm not sure how lashing out £15M on an upgraded training ground that can't be seen yet (and apparently is over the top in requirements given that we've already achieved top ranking in Premier League Academy ratings without it) is any surefire way to sell a club and maximise profits. Edit; I forgot the ;-) thing.....
  7. I'm sure I used to read about Sports Days like that, Dennis the Menace in the Beano trying it on with massive springs on his boots. Although I'm pretty sure Dennis always used to get found out and disqualified back then, maybe if the rules have apparently changed he'd get away with it now.
  8. Free the dune 1
  9. Christ, they've even got orange on their jackets, not exactly hard to spot.
  10. Or the long jump? Or the triple jump?
  11. No offence, but a lot of people have seen the story and some of the evidence for why he's running. And, funniliy enough, still don't agree with it. He's running with artificial aids. Without which, naturally, he would be much slower. When sports like swimming, cycling, athletics even are doing all they can to cut out the effect of artificial influence (in the form of banning swimming suits, having regulation bicycles, banning performance enhancing drugs, and all sorts of other regulations) its weird how the sport suddenly wants to bend the rules to 90 degrees to allow one competitor in. Although he is clearly an inspiration (and a media dream) it just isn't right. He runs the 400M. what if he did the high jump? What if he got "springier" springs? Where does it stop? Edit: Really, the only question should be is this. His springs on his feet are now, apparently, legal. So if an able-bodied 400m runner found a way to convert those "blades" to running with them strapped on, and they improved his/her times, would they be allowed? If not, why not?
  12. Indeed. Bless the good old days when you could happily parade a swastika without fear of any form of condemnation for acting the tw*t.
  13. So either we played like European champions, or got "bossed" by a less than average Championship team. #confused
  14. Well in that case I'm sorry my dismissal of Ron's throwaway comment caused you so much distress. Edit: smileywink
  15. Doesn't sound good, either. "Just swelling atm" could mean anything at all.
  16. I don't know Tim. You tell me. I don't even know what you're asking.
  17. Yes, but are there any on here?? Right now?? Hysterical accusations are a complete nonsense.
  18. Dear me. Who was actually in danger of calling the Samaritans? Or did you make it up?
  19. Exactly this. Its a financial plan based on completely hollow assumptions and projections, mathematics which just don't stack up. It's embarrassing that something so poorly conceived is given such credibility. And the Few lap it up, because its "theirs", despite the likelihood that it could turn out to be the most insolvent yet of all of their intrepid recent adventures into the financial mire. They really, really don't get it.
  20. He just interviewed Sally Pearson and bowed out with "well done Sarah". F*ck me, get rid. He's a bumbling embarrassing idiot.
  21. I don't know about the mass hysteria you're clearly making up, but it'll be thoroughly disappointing if we can't turn this around. Especially given our pre-season last year and how that translated into a running start from the first kick off of the league season.
  22. This bell-end interviewer trackside for the BBC is utterly f*cking awful. Its been a fairly slick production all round by the Beeb, but this guy just has amateur hour all about him, he genuinely seems to p*ss people off with his inane, stuttering and stumbling questions.
  23. There's all sorts to encourage terror from that report. 11500 average attendance (without enormous discounting) will be supremely difficult for them in League 1. So will 12500 in year 2. More so 13500 in League 3  The amounts allowed for football creditors (that Tricky Trev is happily continually agreeing while the bill adds up and up and up) just don't stack up from what the (dis)Trust can afford to pay. Does the report even allow for payment of the fees of the administrators?! Does it give Channers what he wants for Fratton Park?! It's a report based purely on fabrication, and is a complete and utter wish list. It is a nonsense, a pipe dream. In short, and predictably,:lol::lol:
