  1. I've said before; I cannot see how we would be allowed to wear either the red or the white. There is a significant amount of red on the away kit, especially if the logo is red as it looks like it is. Also, as The9 says, Sunderland haven't released their kit yet, so if it turns out the back of the shirt is predominantly white it'll be out.
  2. Because its nothing like our kit. Ours has red over it; in various places.
  3. Is that really the best example you can come up with?!
  4. Being as he's (fairly) recently made his debut for England I can't see any way in which he'll stay in the Championship.
  5. What influence does a kit design have on the team's performance?
  6. When does the Cortese one go up? And what will it say? I'm going with "The Genius".
  7. Yep, they really captured the passion with Rickie there!
  8. God forbid football fans should talk about something not directly related to games but related to the club nonetheless during the close season when nothing else is happening.
  9. Perhaps a bit of a strategic move by the club not to announce match ticket prices before new sale season tickets go out?
  10. To be fair he's also played at the top level in Russia (Zenit, won the league with them) and Germany (VfB Stuttgart). So he has a lot of top level experience, if not being hugely prolific whilst there. The betting markets are open now, so this story reflects the state of play today. Doubtless if we went and signed £50M - £60M worth of players our price would change and a new article would be written. Same for any other team in the league. At this point in time the article is accurate enough. In any case, the bookies got it spectacularly wrong with the 3 promoted teams last year, so I wouldn't hang my hat on anything some random Ladbrokes flunky pens for their website, let alone in late July.
  11. But the betting market is open, so Ladbrokes have to react to that.
  12. Stoke's kit for this year: With the white shorts and socks, its neither heavily red nor white, its an even balance. I really can't see us wearing white against them. Also, their photoshopping department is apparently even worse than ours....
  13. As an aside, I actually disagree with you point about us wearing the white kit at Stoke and Sunderland. There is actually a bit more red on the kit than just the pinstripes; the collars and sleeves are red, and the Umbro badge and potentially also the sponsor is red (can't properly tell from the photoshopped-to-hell picture but it seems it might be). There may also be a red trim on the sides, again can't really tell from the pics. That all added up, I'd be surprised if refs would go with it. But with no plans intimated for a 3rd kit I guess we'll see. But I would have thought your idea of wearing red shorts/socks would just increase the problem.
  14. At least I got the annoying part right.
  15. I know. I was just being you for a minute. Annoying, isn't it?
  16. Our away kit isn't all white. It has red pinstripes, and red trim on the collar (and seemingly also the sleeves).
  17. So, where is this model bird that tweeted about the kit? We're not selling ladies' kits and she doesn't seem to be in the ladieswear section on the OS. Curious.
  18. Close up of the home shirt. It's not one pinstripe, its two. The logo looks properly sh*t
  19. White socks (according to their wiki page).
  20. Without being pedantic and claiming that with the pinstripes its unique (it isn't, to all intents and purposes we have an all red kit)..... Just as a home kit; Liverpool obviously have it, and that's it in the PL. I'm pretty sure there are none in the Championship, all teams that wear red shirts have white or black shorts/socks. So 1 team in the top 2 divisions.
  21. If anything, its the most original kit we've had in many years.
  22. That's more like it....
  23. Never liked Saints in white shorts with the home kit. I remember the uproar when Hoddle previously suggested we might go for it.
  24. That sounds very Man Utd away to me.
