  1. Well if I'm going to get sacked for telling a colleague I want to go balls deep in her, they will bloody well listen to me ramble on about Berkovic's right foot during the 6-3 while I'm being carted out the building. :-) (SNSUN does not condone sexual harassment in the workplace. However, thinking of results such as the United 6-3 or the Skates 4-0 could bring about orgasm, which could be deemed as sexual harassment if it occurs at the wrong time.)
  2. Get in! Another chance to beat the wife’s team. Yes we were close to Skates but they’d no doubt rub it in if we failed to beat Spurs. Let them bask in their 4 nil defeat a little longer.
  3. Two posts down from the original...
  4. Answers my suspicions...
  5. Tottenham loaning us him before our replay is sus... Seriously though he burst on to the scene and did well, quick, can cover both full back positions, and as it’s a loan (unless it’s with an obligation to buy) then it’s risk free. Yes he’s been overlooked lately but Spurs still wanted £15 million to buy him so that says something. I remain open minded about this one, we certainly needed a specialist full back and he could turn out to be a master stroke. Yes I’m sure people would have wanted a first choice right back but this means we have until summer to properly scout one. Palace are in for Norwich’s Jamal Lewis at left back. I’d be all over that as a long term successor to Bertrand.
  6. Our three non-Ings strikers have scored a combined two league goals all season. I definitely think there’s room for a fifth striker, or let’s rephrase that and say a ‘new’ striker. Yes we have won a couple of games without Ings recently but I’d be very worried if we lost him long term. We’re lucky we have midfielders than can score if needed. Augustien’s scoring record is hardly amazing, but he’s worked with Ralph before so maybe he can get the best out of him. An Ings injury (and yes we’re all thinking it despite his ability to stay fit this season so far) means we have Long, Adams and Obafemi for the rest of the season as our three strikers which doesn’t fill me with confidence.
  7. For a team that plays 2 up front, I’d be looking to hijack the Augustien deal to give us some strength in depth for the rest of the season. (And annoy Leeds twice in one window...) As for KWP, yes but for nowhere near £15 million that article quotes. If Maehle has been priced at £7.5 million by Genk, I can’t see us not paying that then going for KWP at double the price. Because he’s English? Then for similar money go for Matty Cash who is more versatile and has more experience at the same age.
  8. Now we'll see if we're interested. Reading the Forest forums they don't need to sell but think 15-18 million could do it. Typical West Ham going in low though.
  9. Me too! (Although i captained him but still...)
  10. Confidence is key. After getting spanked 3 nil to Burnley first day of the season, we couldn’t have started the season any worse and it took a while to get going, but the side has so much confidence now that they can go out and win games, and more importantly confidence is so high knocks like Wolves can be overcome. A few injuries to the wrong personnel and we could suffer but Hasenhuttl is working miracles right now. God I hope we can back him in the summer and hold on to him long term, but if he keeps us playing like this, heads will turn.
  11. That’s the win for me that has virtually seen us safe (at the very least, obvs should be looking higher now). Three wins away from the 40 point mark (which will be close to the safety mark this year IMO (maybe 38/39), playing as we have been doing, 3 wins from 14 is a no brainer. Even if we resort to an average of a point a game, that’d put us on 45 points and well clear, but we should be looking at 50+ points this season.
  12. SSN saying we’re interested in Matty Cash. Anyone know much about him? AC Milan also interested.
  13. So....who do we want in the FA Cup 5th round chaps?
  14. This is the win that I am no longer concerned with relegation. Pellegrino could take over this team on 31 points and keep them up. Now we look ahead to the fact we’re only 3 points off United in 5th.
  15. MODs having a night off from making stuff sticky then! Been following on SSN. Can the Zaha poke be revisited after the game? Zaha must really hate JWP especially after the match last January. From what Kammy is saying, it sounds like a comfortable 2 nil!
  16. Evening all. Just thought I’d pop my head in and say hi on the match thread. To make Trouser’s head explode!
  17. We'll draw this, but away from home we're better - we have to hope Palace don't park the bus and we might have a chance of outscoring them and getting a massive win. I'd love us to be on 31 points going into the Liverpool game!

    Oriol Romeu

Would be disappointed if he left. Decent player and character. We're already light in Central Midfield (particularly defensive midfield where we would have a grand total of zero players), I can only assume we would bring someone in - if we think we're already safe from relegation, we're dicing with death especially while teams like Burnley pick up points below us. If JWP or Hojbjerg get injured or suspended, we'd have the youngsters come in or players playing out of position again. Worrying.
  19. I checked, Wolves were 28-1 to win at half time on Ladbrokes
  20. Very Saintsy. Need to hope this doesn't knock confidence. New players?
  21. Hate to say it but I did... It's Wolves. I said before the game we should respect the point. Disaster.
  22. I missed most of that first half due to being shoved pillar to post at work, but I have a mate keeping me up to date with the scoreline. 2-0 up and Ings not yet on the scoresheet! Lovely stuff - a third should put this to bed surely! As long as we don't do anything Saintsy, this will be a fantastic 3 points if we can get it, and should banish all worries of relegation battles from our heads. Norwich beating Bournemouth would make it an even better day. Still, a long 45 minutes to come...
  23. 3 points would be massive today. 31 at this stage of the season is not only virtually safe (based on the assumption that we’ll surely pick up another 3 wins) but surely will change the media thinking of us as relegation candidates and more into European wannabes. I’d still take a lower mid-table finish if you offered it though, it’s the long suffering Saints fan in me! Every point helps though, respect the point today.
  24. Because it's clear that Cedric is first choice, and has been performing much better since he's been getting a run in the team. He's also not often injured, which means Valery is unlikely to need to be used much between now and the end of the season. And if he is? Well he showed last season that he has the ability to fill in. Maybe his poor performances this season were illness related? Either way if Ralph feels Valery and Vokins are good enough, we probably won't be seeing a full back incoming. Mistake? Perhaps if we do lose Cedric or Bertrand to injury but we will see. Me wanting a first choice right back to come in is in the knowledge that we lose Cedric in the summer, then we can bed him in and see what he has to offer for the rest of this season - if we do that, then it won't matter that Valery is fit or not. I too would be sad to see him go, I think he's a good player and we would almost definitely need another central midfielder to come in unless we have some brave faith in Smallbone and Slattery. I hope this is another one that doesn't happen until the summer.
  25. If we get to summer, and Bertrand says he wants to stay with us until the end of his career, then fine, keep him. He's an experienced head to play while Vokins develops (or another young LB is brought in to one day replace Ryan). If he wants out though, I wouldn't be too concerned, as long as the money is right. Leicester will probably want him as cut price as he's in his early 30's, but £15-£20 million should be looked at. He's been a decent servant and one of our best left backs ever but we're a team that looks to younger players to come in. The doubt about letting him go is, of course, the ability for SFC to buy a left back to adequately replace him. It's a hell no until the summer though, whatever happens.
