Dibling another Academy success story who has gone on to bigger things, like Bale, Walcott, Ox-C, Lallana, Danny Mountain...

The table means nothing this early in the season. Unless we top it at the end of the weekend, in which case I'll be placing a picture of it next to the bathroom toilet.

Happy with this. Yes we lose a prospect but with PSR this sale makes a lot of sense. It might help us get what we want for Mat now. Good luck to Tyler, Everton aren't the club I'd have personally picked but with Palace rumoured to have been sniffing around it might have forced Everton's hand a bit. Anyway we have JRob so we march on.

We get Azaz, they get BBD. It's win/wi....oh wait.
-
We're linked with former Thai Leicester midfielder ThanaWAT SuengcHITthawon. Just to get someone with Twat and Shit in their name.
-
Ha Saints.... we saw other clubs dismantling Brentford - Mbuemo, Wissa, Norgaard, Flekken- and felt like we'd have a pop too! Welcome Mads. And yes... huge surprise done on the quiet and a solid player.
-
Willing to do business with Krasnodar ever again…. Nope.
-
If Villa lose Ramsey and Rogers, they could struggle unless they bring the right players come in. Only so long you can rely on Watkins, McGinn and Mings.
-
I'm surprised the club is trying to get anything at all for this disaster. Mutually agree to cancel the contract and he can swan off to whatever unfortunate club he likes.

Fernandes, Dibling and Aribo will be shipped out for around £90 million, we will bring in a couple of loans and a free transfer and everyone in the board room smoke fat Cubans and high fives each other for a job well done. We get promoted via the play-offs using the players we have, SR cheap out on signing good players again in the Prem, and we end up back here again, selling Jay Robinson and whoever else makes us a fat profit. We know the script. Roll on September 2nd. Oh and yeah, I got up on the wrong side of the bed. Bitches.

Edozie will be chomping at the bit to join Brugge after this.

And he'll be borderline unemployable. Back to League One if he's lucky.

Ah Stoke, famous for, erm, Pot. And being close to Alton Towers, where incidentally I shall be spending the next few days with my daughter for my sins, so I'll probably be able to smell them. Or they'll be able to smell me, one or the other. Stoke City were formed a long amount of years ago, and previously played at the Victoria Ground, a ground that was so old the fans had to hold pieces of it together during games. Nick Hancock, Stoke's most famous son, once presented a footballing nightmares video outside the ground, which I had on VHS and watched incessantly, mainly because he had a funny voice. Seriously, watch Mr Bean and you'll understand. Or They Think It's All Over. They now play at the bet365, which is similar in size to St Mary's but not as good, and which was formerly named the Brittannia, which is ironic because Stoke rarely Ruled it. Other famous sons of Stoke include Tony Pulis (local sales of caps plummeted when he was in charge), Bruno Brookes and some local bloke called Stanley Matthew, who, in 1848 was known to move from side to side a lot in the local public house. The road their ground is on is named after this chap, Stanley Matthew Sway. Incidentally the sunny, Saturday afternoon in Southampton counter balances their cold rainy Tuesday night in Stoke mantra, as they'll discover this weekend. Hopefully. My mate Jonno went to Stoke on a rainy Tuesday night and said the girls were all high as kites and scary, but that didn't deter him from getting stink finger in the bogs with one of them. He gets about does Jonno and he loves the stink finger. TLDR summery: Potheads, Alton Towers, Nick Hancock, Local swaying bloke and scary/high lasses. Thats my completely unresearched, unverified and probably fake Stoke facts done for the week. On to the never reliable prediction wheel. One right prediction so far, and two wrong. Screen_Recording_20250819_102518_Samsung Internet.mp4 So there you are, Stoke two goal victory and much work to be done in the transfer market.

Directly from then! But yeah I'd forgotten Downes

Played under Still? Our last two players signed by managers they used to play for were Manning and Bree i believe so I hope this has more success.
-
Getting on my plane just as we go one down. I'll be sending good thoughts.
-
His earpiece never worked anyway... the signal kept Jammin'.
-
You serious? He's played 30 League minutes. On his debut, in a new country. And 60 odd in a cup game playing in a disjointed side. I know Saints fans rule their players out quickly but that must be some kind of record. And he's ill, not dropped.
-
Yep. Though the potential is there for a shape shift to 433/4231 if needed.
-
Not seeing much in the way of attacking potency there but interesting that Sugawara has been dropped for Fraser. Welington keeps his League place instead of Manning which is telling for how Still sees Welington as our number 1 LB even when Manning had a good cameo last week. Centre backs are strong, midfield is strong. At the very least this should be a draw.

I'll be on a plane for the duration of the match back to Blighty, so if anyone could look into the future and tell me what topics the match thread will be filled with, I'd be appreciative. Here's a Nun to get things started.

For me, our strikers are fine. We've hardly seen anything of Downs yet, yes, he missed two sitters but as they say, you have to get into the right positions to miss them, which he did. He's young and raw, he needs time. Stewart had injury issues but if he can stay fit, he's shown he can contribute goals at this level. AA will score goals at this level although I hope from a wider position and Archer was highly rated before he joined us - he's the one with the most question marks over him but he has the potential. I'll give you BBD unless by some miracle he becomes a good player but I suspect we'll be looking to ship him. My issue is with the creation of goals. The AM/winger positions need a lot of work still. 2 weeks left of the window.

Japanese Marian Pahars, if we're being Saints-accurate

Someone getting banned early into the new season.

Unless the fixture is in London and you live in the outskirts, because we have the greatest Public Transport system in the world. 😇 (In no way has Andy Lord threatened my career if I didn't post this.)
