All IMO but I don't think we were ever going to get thrown out the play-offs this close to them, it would be a logistical nightmare especially once tickets are on sale. Maybe if we'd been caught earlier in the season for sure, but not now. Middlesbrough fans thinking they'll somehow miraculously get reinstated are also dreaming. What Saints will probably face is a very large fine to make sure this doesn't happen again, and a potential EFL points punishment/transfer ban in the future - whether that be next season (if we lose to Hull) or in a couple of years if we go up and come down again (as we will be the Premier League's bitches next season). Again, all IMO - and that's all dependant on what facts Boro have and what Southampton's internal investigation deduces. Firstly, I'd like to say well done to the Boro support. Long way to come. Secondly, our support was exceptional. Whatever happens with the charge, you can't deny we'll be loud and proud at Wembley which is fast becoming our second home. Thirdly, while the game itself was quite finely balanced, at almost no point did Boro threaten our goal. Their attack needs a lot of work. Granted we weren't fluid but we got the job done. Fourthly, the ref was pants. But that's pretty standard. Fifthly... I lost my train of thought. Anyway another game unbeaten and on to Wembley!
