When we give them a good stuffing tomorrow it'll give my Norwich supporting missus another reason to moan. Thankfully as I'm out doing the 12 pubs of Christmas, I won't be there to hear it. I just hope (and expect) a few of the pubs we hit between half 12 and half 2 have Sky. We've definitely caught Norwich at a good time, they're sinking, we're rising. It often seems like we catch teams shortly after they've had some sort of renaissance but that's not the case for Norwich. I saw bits of their game last weekend and their keeper makes Baz look like Peter Shilton. Sargent out seems like a plus, but reading their forum, they seem to think they looked better after he came off. I still think it's a good thing. I'm going 4-1. -
Striker. Baz has flaws but has at least made some good saves recently, and ideally needs replacing long term, but we need a striker more. No Stewart for God knows how long, Archer ineffective, Downs non-existent, we’re relying heavily on AA. We Need a big but mobile striker for something different, and hopefully someone who knows where the goal is. Cheeky bid for Norwich’s Sargent if his valuation has dipped since the summer…

Probably because we sub off the good players and our replacements aren't good enough. Work to be done in January. Tonda does need to work on his game management too. Lets not forget too, WBA aren't a bad team. And, we did get the 3 points, however pant-shittingly close it ended up.

Not looking at this thread or BBC for the next 10 minutes...

It definitely looks like our game management needs work. Drop two points here, or worse, and that's pretty poor from a team that had a commanding lead at half time.

HANG ON LADS - Please hang on

I'm anxious and I'm not even watching it...

Can't find the link on Sky Go app but anyway I'm stuck at work so I'm relying on you lot with the news. Can't fault the scoreline so far. Another dull second half in store? I'd take a third to be sure.

I usually want Norwich, any excuse to piss the wife off, but as we have them in the league on Saturday that will be enough gloating for a while when we beat them. Weston Super Mare would be cool, TV game guaranteed. Funnily enough I have a vision of Brentford away though. i hope Chelsea are away, any excuse not to have to work another match at Fulham.

I'd like to think we'd strengthen in January. I still don't see a keeper coming in sadly (just a hunch) but I think we'll look at another striker, even with AA clicking with his new homies. Another attacking AM would be nice too. Would Norwich finally sell Sargent? I wonder if they'll be looking to sell to strengthen and I doubt his value will be as high as it was in the summer. Our late summer policy of signing some of the better Championship players from last season is starting to pay dividends. More of the same would be nice to strengthen the squad. Also whoever scouted Scienza and Jander (and even Spertsyan though we didn't get him) deserves another shot at bringing someone else in. I think we'll see a few players go in January. SR have got a lot wrong in their tenure but the late summer transfer dealings have given me some positivity that they are learning from their mistakes. Maybe Spors influence?

Decent win against a potentially dangerous opponent. Keeping up with the play off race. A few more wins in December please and we can go into the transfer window in a nice position.
-
I haven't put a bet on since last season, I'm trying to be good. But an insurance bet would be tempting here...
-
That requires one Mr Oriel Romeu Vidal. Hopefully.
-
I'd be more comfortable with a 3 goal cushion Saints...
-
I'm lurking mostly today as I'm busy at work but you can't knock that half time score. Surely Brum will show more in the second half...
-
Better the devil you know? You can't say he didn't get some results recently, just once again we seem to be wedded to a manager that plays 3 CBs. Hopefully we continue to see an upturn in performances but failure to get promoted this season won't fully be his fault. I hope he starts his full management career with a win tomorrow.
-
Agree with the first two, but unless something has changed, Charles may be out until the new year according to the reports when he got injured. We'll see. Downes has a few knockers this season but he's still a good option for us and we can all see how much difference Scienza makes to us. Another Scienza-type signing in January would be nice.
-
Tough game next, it’s how we bounce back that will be a measure of how good an option Tonda is going forwards. Another abject performance against Brum and maybe he isn’t the messiah. Win and it shows he can change it up. It also highlights how important Scienza is to us.
-
A week until Brum. Work to be done.
-
Gutting.
-
A draw today would be a good result. I thought this before the game. Tonda, make it so.

That's game over.
