The club will sell him for a fee which more or less matches their valuation which is 50 million+. 40 something + incentives will possibly get it done but WH are low balling. Amorim is a fan... Mateus could yet get better offers than the Bubble lovers.

True, but if we keep both and go up because of them, and put better players around them, it may well be a better long term sound investment. THB in particular will be a top flight player for years to come IMO (although probably not top 6 material, he'll knock around mid-table/lower table clubs at least - which we can only hope might be us).

My favourite games were CM 96/97, trying to keep Saints from being relegated was nearly impossible but it was the first year of the Bosman, and the best CM was the last one, 03/04, where Beattie, Ormerod, Fernandes, Kenton, Higginbotham and Pahars were so overpowered I won the Prem without signing anyone. Best FM for me was 07. I'm still playing the iPad version of 22 - Redmond can be really good but Djenepo is weirdly overpowered compared to his actual ability. Never managed to get a tune from KWP though.
