  1. Playing a back five is the problem.
  2. There’s usually one that goes missing.
  3. They are instructed not to raise it.
  4. That’s what she told me.
  5. OK then two 0-0 draws and we beat them on penalties
  6. Covenant
  7. Indeed they do. So what’s their excuse?
  8. He shouldn’t be level with the offside player at the time the ball is kicking. Once he has determined that the player is offside he should then run to the position where he will raise his flag.
  9. Bugger. I’m going to miss it
  10. We spent far more than that on the rest of the squad and none of them score goals either.
  11. Nobody likes to say 'I told you so' but, I told you so.
  12. I find that very hard to believe. The assistant will always position himself/herself so as to be level with the second-last defender. He will raise his flag at the position where the attacker was offside and the angle of the flag will indicate the position across the pitch. If he does the swingy arm motion that means that the attacker has come back from an offside position to receive the ball. No chance of a link or reference I suppose?
  13. He would if there was no realistic alternative. The responsibilty for that is down to the board.
  14. Strange that. At the time I said that Mara was miles offside so wasn't surprised by the offside flag. I haven't been able to see any replays of it.
  15. What annoys me is that we never seem to score any similar headed goals.
  16. Never mind that. What's his xG ?
  17. As is Stephens for the FA Cup. I saw him play at Bournemouth against Burnley and whilst he wasn’t the main culprit their defence was like blotting paper.
  18. To be honest I’m struggling. Bertrand getting sent off at home to Leicester was the first that game to mind. That was another case of the referee on the pitch not even seeing it as a foul. But I’m sure there must be the opposite somewhere. I just don’t like VAR.
  19. The obvious conclusion is that it’s just a bias against us 🤓
  20. And Bournemouth.
  21. Age and experience. You should try it
  22. It would explain a lot.
  23. Let’s put it this way; if a defender had done that to one of our attackers, would we have got a penalty? Slight contacts such as that yesterday happen all the time in the penalty area, but are rarely penalised. Ramsey flinging himself to the floor influenced the referee too. He tried to win a penalty in the first half when he dived. He’s a cheat.
