  1. A mate text me. Used to coach the young uns at Saints and knows people in the club, but then has been wrong before, as well as right. Don't know what to believe.
  2. Exactly, why I thought it was bs.
  3. De Bruyne from what I've heard, but unsure myself.
  4. Stream gone. Good performance (so far).
  5. Lol, whatever you say. I am just saying that when people say that promotion is worth x million pounds, it's a misrepresented amount of money due to additonal costs incurred. That's the point. You can say spending 6 million to bring in 90 is worthwhile, but in actual fact it is 6 million to bring in 40 million over 4 years, which certainly nakes the gamble seem a lot more dodgy.
  6. But that's not just over 1 year, you realise that.
  7. Yes, it is worth £90m, but not in 1 season, and also not as profit. Which is why, as said earlier, it is only worth about £35m after everything is taken into account. When people have bandied around figures like £90m, £100m, people assume that is pure profit, per year, which it is not. I believe this is what you meant, until MLG got involved and you had someone to hide behind. And fyi, the insults and potential infraction/banning, totally worth it.
  8. But you are treating that as profit. It's not, it's revenue.
  9. I'm going to scream in a minute.
  10. "The Football League Championship play-off final on Monday will again be worth about £90m to the winner, accountancy group Deloitte has calculated. That is how much money either Reading or Swansea City will pocket if they are promoted to the Premier League - the biggest prize in domestic football. The £90m includes more than £40m of higher broadcast income, gate receipts and commercial income next season. The club would also get payments of up to £48m if immediately relegated." So if we stay up it is worth around £40m.
  11. But that £50m is diluted with the extra £10m a year that was put on the balance sheet by getting promoted. Why are you finding this so difficult?
  12. But the point is this is with us staying up. And that £35m includes the TV revenue.
  13. No, the only reason it has gone from 60-100m is due to the naming rights on Man City's stadium and the £40m a year they receive from that. What I am saying is that £100m includes the best sponsorship, the best ticket revenue, the best merchandising etc in the Premier League. For instance, if Man United were in the Championship and got promoted again, then it is likely that their promotion would be worth a lot more than a smaller teams.
  14. Exactly. The money is not massive and the more I see it mentioned the more frustrated I get.
  15. Np, that is with staying up. One of the biggest things is for instance you receive £40m for TV rights after being promoted, but on average due to clauses in contracts, wage costs increase by £10m. Then you have the money for where you finish in the League, and also increase in matchday revenue. Then there is potential sponsorship deals (ie the money Man city are receiving for the Etihad naming etc. Essentially, that £100m is the BEST CASE scenario for any team. As said by both the Burnley and Blackpool chairman when it was mooted around £60m, they said it was realistically nowhere near that figure.
  16. Wow, this number just keeps on getting more and mre ridiculous. As said previously, to a newly promoted club going into the Premier League and finishing in the bottom 6, it is worth around £35m.
  17. Thank God whatever, not of the standard needed. For those that say we need a player to replace Lambert, you're looking for in FM12 is coined a deep lying forward, one that collects the ballat his feet and passes back or sideways, not one who nods it on or 'holds' the ball up. By describing him like this you're making out that we have large gaps between midfield and striker, which is frankly untrue. We need a linking striker, one with good strength but also good composure and passing ability. That is why it was thought Guly could play there, issue is Guly's first touch and passing isn't up to svratch. A good example of a player we could do with would be like Berbatov.
  18. To the tune of Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves by Cher He was born in South Korea then moved to Tokyo, The crowd used to shout for the skills that he showed, Lee would do whatever he could... Ta-da-nari Lee, You hear them in the middle of the town, we call him, Ta-da-nari Lee, And when he scores the town will gather round, And cheer inside our ground.
  19. I've got one but I'm afraid it will be interpreted as slightly racist.
  20. I didn't realise being a bit of a pr!ck was actually an injury... Only kidding! Big kisses.
  21. Perhaps they are selling us Matt Phillips;)
  22. Christ, you sound like a bore some ****. Nearly everything you see on tv is scripted. Frankly I like to enjoy them all the same.
  23. I was referring to the Championship
