To be fair WGS bought McCann. Delgado was Lowe's, but then he had no reason to think he would fail like he did. He was a success everywhere else.
-
The comparison is around the ideas that Cortese and Lowe had. They both believe(d) in investing in the club infrastructure, they both believe(d) in investing in youth, they both believe(d) in Sports Science. I did not say their personalities were the same.
-
Woodward back then? I honestly feel that Cortese is Lowe, but with money. I don't think that's a bad thing.

See, you don't get the argument. You've proved that by saying 'Yes we are all racist...'! This was never about everyone being racist. However, I believe some Saints fan get on the backs of black players quicker than white players, and I believe some have a racially motivated agenda. See the comments on this thread about Puncheon when he said nothing wrong in the interview. If you don't understand, don't comment.

This would be a fantastic signing. Did well at the 'Burn and at first in Greece. Looked like a future England international.
-
And I did notice the one voice in the dark, so thanks. It's a real shame that no-one else has understood what I am getting at.

Ulrich Van Gobbel...

Maybe. To be fair they didn't add to the debate last time. No-one seemed to have the guts to defend what I was saying then, and not now either. Perhaps they aren't logged on!
-
And rightly so. But Puncheon didn't do anything like that...
-
One of a number of PM's I received last time I brought this up in Feb.

You said 'arrogance or bad attitude'. So I want some examples of white Saints players who have been booed due to their attitudes/arrogance. You had problems with the Police have you, seem to be very bitter about something..?
-
As i said before, shhh, men are talking.
-
Oh yeah, don't disagree with that. I'm also not saying other peoples opinions are worng, like numerous people on this thread have said to me. It is my opinion on the matter though, and personally I think it's an interesting way of looking at it, as do others. for Example: 'FWIW I think you're totally right re fans turning on black players quicker. Thought the same thing for a while. You're wasting your time trying to explain it to the mongs on here though. They just don't want to hear it.'
-
So your opinion is that no Saints fan has booed and criticised Puncheon more harshly based on skin colour.

Challenge accepted. I'll start you off with...Tommy Forecast

I did raise it earlier in the Season, and I assume that people decided to ignore it.
-
My point is that people got on Puncheon's back a lot quicker than they would or did to white players. That is my opinion on it.
-
That wasn't me who wrote that, it was left on when editing one of UM's replies. I have removed it now. What difference does it matter whether I went to Noadswood or Applemore or King Edwards or Hardley??
-
Yep, that's exactly the point I am making. Thanks for your valuable input into this debate.
-
Perhaps I am wrong on this one, I agree, but personally it has been something I have noticed over the years. People like McGoldrick, Dyer, BWP, K Jones, Best, Puncheon. All of them were seen as having bad attitudes. I just wonder whether they actually did, or whether it was an over-reaction due to aforementioned racism?
-
Perhaps the other people are just sheep who have copied the racists, but don't realise that this is the reason for the booing? I don't know.
-
It's an incredibly strange interpretation to make if you listen to it though, is it not? Almost completely non-sensical considering that.
-
I've not said the whole fanbase doesn't like black players though have I? Either way, as said it is hard to prove that some of the fanbase are racist. However, would you be surprised if some of the people who go to St Mary's have decided they don't like him because he is black, whether they have shouted racist remarks, or just booed?
-
Why off topic, it's still about JP isn't it?
-
But why? We were 4 games into the Season. He could have been carrying an injury for the first 4 games which limited him. Why didn't people give him the benefit of the doubt?
