With the wages he was on I can't see we'd ever have picked up Bosingwa...

Who the hell advocated the appointment of those Managers? Nigel has changed his obsession with trying to shoehorn in Rodriguez, has stopped subbing our best players, and has stopped trying to be too clever, the main things that we have been advocating. He is learning from his mistakes and the performances are MUCH better. So no, why would more threads appear. IF he goes back to making basic errors then yes, more threads may appear. Pretty simple really.

You mock, yet as soon as he starts using the correct players in the correct positions as advocated by a few of us 'naysayers' quite a few weeks ago, we start to produce better performances and a win. I know it would be difficult to praise those of us that identified these problems, and very early on (see my thread about strange tactical decisions - the one that was locked), but come on, you don't believe it is all coincidence do you? There are a number of reasons why I couldn't become Saints Manager, certainly the training side of things, the in depth tactical nous, having the correct contacts and the fact that none of my life has been spent in a footballing environment or academia, but surely you can understand that people who watch football can identify basic tactical mistakes? -
It's not a tough question, it's a confused question. As it looks as though Adkins is learning his early season lessons at last, then as a Saints fan I hope he continues to win and ultimately stays. However, if he reverts to his tactical and selection issues from the first 10 games then something will need to be done.

I agree, thank God the penny has dropped for Nigel. -

What, like shoehorning JRod into the side, substituting our most impressive players and not playing our best side (trying to be too clever). -
Saints set to move for Brad Friedel?

Lets hope so. Great keeper. Mirror has a good record in relation to our transfer movements. -
After our last 2 performances I'm hoping Nigel will continue to play the correct players, in the correct formation, making the correct substitutions for the situation (although it does seem that perhaps someone else was influencing these decisions). I will be more than happy for him to prove me wrong, as I am sure others like TDD, Alpine and The Kraken will agree. There is a long way to go, but lets hope we continue this form against Newcastle. UTS!

Some people only see in black and white, unaware that there is a myriad of greys out there. If you don't have the mental capacity to understand that you can believe someone was going to be sacked, but still support and compliment them as Manager when they make the correct decisions, then I feel sorry for the people in your life, as you must be very hard work.
-
I never said he had been sacked. I said as far as Cortese was concerned he was sacked, the decision had been made. I don't think I said that had been communicated to Nigel. I believe that this could well be the case, and it certainly wouldn't surprise me still. What I find strange is that you seem to think that I can't support Nigel AND hold this opinion? I love the fact that Nige has seen the error of the first 10 games of the Season and is getting Saints to play in the way we should have from the start, that is all.
-
The funniest thing is he has reverted to the way I think Saints need to play, reversed the strange decisions and substitutions, and yet you can't recognise that if we carried on with the way that we were playing that we were in serious trouble. Myopic beyond belief, but hey what do you expect from someone with the views that you have.
-
We beat the worst team in the League, I'd put your **** away if I were you. I still maintain that if he had carried on with his strange selections and substitutions that he deserved/deserves to go. I am more than happy for him to continue to prove me wrong, and prove that he can change and become a good Premier League Manager.

Excellent result. Exactly what the doctor ordered!

Exactly this. It's good to see.
