Argh! Great chance but headed it straight at Cooper.
-
Hoever taken off. Looked sensible from a Utd perspective - he was blowing out of his arse.
-
Ref just brushed it off.
-
Bamford coming on. Equaliser incoming.
-
Leo left him for dust.
-
God save Cooper. Baz would have let that in.
-
Oh Azaz.

Welington is soooo much better at defending than Manning. It's fucking bonkers how Manning has been keeping him out of the side.
-
He's on the bench tonight.

Tequila?

Straight away, Stewart gives us more options. Winning headers in the centre circle and knocking it in to forward runners.
-
Lino was a mile behind play there. Surely that went out before the Utd player hooked it back.
-
Downes played a forward pass! Straight out of play 🤦

Yep. RA is clearly right at the initial peak of the Dunning-Kruger curve and has every intention of just staying there, learning absolutely nothing.

Exactly. Data analysis is a very useful tool, but it must always, always, be backed up by ground truthing. I honestly can't believe we've ended up in such a farcical situation. And now the chickens are coming home to roost, cos we've got a captain who wants out and a loaned out keeper not so subtly telling the press what a toxic environment it is at Saints. What a total fucking shambles they've turned us into.

It's just like whenever someone starts a sentence with "I'm not racist, but..." and then inevitably goes on to say something blatantly racist.

I completely disagree. We were going backwards under Still and getting steadily worse, not better. That Blackburn game in particular was without doubt the single worst team performance I've ever watched us attempt. Nobody had the slightest fucking clue what they were supposed to be doing that day. I've seen Sunday league teams still pissed from the night before play with better organisation. As poor as we have been recently, we're still nowhere near that level of utter shitness yet. We at least look a little more organised now than then. The problem is we're still coughing up easy chances game after game because of individual errors, and we've forgotten where the net is at the other end. BTW - this is in no way an endorsement of Tonda. I still firmly believe he was a fucking terrible appointment and should never even have been considered, let alone given the job.

Yep. No doubt with one of his comedy, trying-to-make-it-look-accidental-but-failing-miserably fouls that he is seemingly so fond of. I'd rather put Bragg in for the Pompey game anyway. At least as an academy product he understands the meaning of the derby. Don't think I'll be able to watch Downes wandering about aimlessly and passing it sideways and backwards at FP without putting my foot through the TV.

Yep. If you take out that purple patch in November and extrapolate our PPG from the runs of games either side of it, we would currently be sitting on about 21 points, with only the basket case of Wednesday keeping us off bottom.
-
Indeed. It all started with getting the recruitment of Ralph's replacement catastrophically wrong, and they've learned nothing from that experience.
-
Seems that way. Anyone with any kind of managerial pedigree would take one look at the utter shit show going on behind the scenes (and you can bet that people in the game / agents etc... will know more than the rest of us do) and say 'nah you're alright. No amount of money could persuade me to sign up for that'.

I don't think we are in a relegation fight, because there's not a single one of the useless pricks in our squad that even knows what the word means.
-
But we still manage to find a way to lose anyway. It's the Southampton way.
-
I like your thinking, but then we'd just have Fellows at RB, which would just be even more stupid than playing him as a WB.

Can we get Led By Donkeys to do one of their projector displays with this on the front of SMS please? 🙏
