They've probably made the decision, but just can't announce it because the media team have been evacuated from the offices and can't log on to their Twitter account etc...
-
That will fund a full meal a day for Lee Anderson's constituents. Not to be sniffed at!
-
If SMS has been evacuated then there is pretty much zero chance of the game going ahead tonight, and probably explains why the club haven't made any kind of statement on social media yet.

Or alternatively it points to a large variation in the level of training/experience of the diagnosing clinicians from area to area. Which I know to be the case.

The Utd one was just a travesty all round. We only had 9 fit senior players and realistically we should have requested to have the game postponed like so many others were for the same reason during Covid, and the officiating was just a sick joke that night. We started with two kids from the U23s, one of whom got himself sent off after 2 minutes. At face value, the challenge was worthy of a red card, but Dean really should have accounted for the fact that he was a very young lad making his senior debut, and given him a yellow with a final warning of "one more foul and you're off". We had a goal disallowed because Lee Mason on VAR was somehow able to tell that Che's fingernail was offside, and then he and Dean between them somehow managed to completely ignore the fact that there was no contact from Bednarek on Martial whatsoever and sent him off as well. It was painful to watch, and obviously reflects badly on everyone involved, but I don't really put it in the same category as the Leicester one because there were far more mitigating circumstances.

Anyone else hear that in Snoop Dogg's voice? 🤔

You're assuming he got a shout from Manning. No way of knowing from the replays. Having just watched the highlights back again, I'm also at a loss to understand want RM was doing for their first goal. He's virtually on the penalty spot when the ball is played in, leaving not one but two players completely unmarked at the back. And please nobody try and tell me that's tactical.

You've clearly taken a long time to think about and type this post, and you may well have a point about what Russ is asking him to do. But none of that explains how fucking useless he was in dealing with that second goal on Saturday. His position and inability to cover the attacker when the ball was launched forward by the keeper had nothing to do with 'tucking in' due to the RB being in a forward position, and everything to do with a total failure to anticipate danger, which is a basic pre-requisite for a defender.
-
Sorry but this is just way off the mark. Regardless of what he had been told to do, Manning should have realised that Bednarek was going to try and head that ball and had the nous to not try and go for it as well but instead cover the defender. It's just basic common sense defending and has nothing whatsoever to do with tactics.

Anyone else's stream keep switching between the national and local feeds?

That's the most fucking pathetic half-arsed attempt at a shot I think I've ever seen in professional football.

Downes back is great news. KWP out isn't so much.

He's not been the same every since we signed Brooks and he's not playing so much in his favoured position on the right of a front 3. -

Yes. I've learned that we are nowhere near ready to be competing in the PL yet, and it's probably for the best that we don't get promoted this season because we would need to upgrade pretty much our entire squad in the summer to avoid getting utterly humiliated. -

Che tries to take a quick throw in... Doesn't even get the ball over the line -

Good save by Lumley initially. He's looked decent in his recent appearances. -

Just see this out now and don't concede again. Take a 2-0 defeat and take the plaudits for a decent performance, and get this unwanted sideshow over and done with without being humiliated. Best result all round really. -

Smallbone gives it away needlessly again. KWP off injured? Oh shit! -

Disagree. I've been impressed with his defensive work tonight. A couple of times he's tracked back really well and put in a good block. He's getting stronger and I've no doubt he's going to be a top player eventually (but not for us, sadly). -

Massive deflection. Would have been a routine save otherwise.
