If only someone could have predicted that this would be the result of giving the job to a work experience kid.
-
Oh goody, we're going to bring on another CB to shore things up.
-
An absolute masterclass of defending a corner from Downes and Wood there. Amazing stuff guys.
-
Dear SR. Fuck off. That's all.
-
Sideways and backwards, everywhere we go.
-
When SR finally fuck off.
-
Like I said when the team was announced - how shit must Welington be in training to not get picked ahead of the terminally shit Manning?
-
It was Manning that played the through ball.
-
Manning you fucking bellend.
-
Oh my fucking god!
-
Well, it's not entirely inaccurate.
-
How did we not score!?
-
Yep. It either goes straight in or he parries it straight to another Hull player.
-
Hull already getting total freedom to put crosses in from their right. Free header - good save.
-
How the holy fuck does Manning get himself picked at LWB every week FFS? How shit must Welington be in training to not manage to displace him?
-
He'll do that even if/when we lose.
-
I wouldn't blame any player for not wanting to renew their contract right now. There is a deep rot at the heart of this club and you can tell from the body language on the pitch that most of them aren't enjoying their football and don't want to be here.

Are you talking about Tarantino or Morrissey?

I voted for late battle to avoid relegation. If you take out the points from that upturn of form while Tonda was interim (which is starting to seem like a bizarre blip now) and extrapolate our points per game from the runs of games either side of it, we would currently be sitting in 23rd place on 21 points from 26 games. Only the total clusterfuck at Sheffield Wednesday would be keeping us off the bottom. I'm not seeing any signs of our form improving. Our attacking tactics have been easily found out and nullified, we're still surrendering the midfield because of the awful 3/5 defensive formation, and we simply cannot defend competently. Right now, I would happily take a mid-table finish. Anyone who thinks we've got any hope of the playoffs needs to give their head a wobble.
-
They will have too much for us. Now that the Tonda interim bubble has well and truly burst, we're playing just as badly as we were when they bullied us up at theirs earlier in the season.
-
Who wants to tell them?
-
I think that's nailed on. Tonda will point to the fact that Donny didn't score any more goals after bringing on another CB as vindication for sticking with it, and it will be a long time before we see a back four again.

I read somewhere recently that Quentin Tarantino was doing an interview and was asked to list his top ten films. He said TWBB would have been higher on the list if not for Paul Dano, who he described as being the weakest actor in the Screen Actors Guild. Lost a lot of respect for him after that. Paul Dano is an exceptionally talented actor IMO, and he's great in everything I've ever seen him in. From Little Miss Sunshine to Prisoners to The Batman. He plays creepy characters with an unnerving believability.

Don't really want to go over all this again, but his position had become completely untenable by the time he was sacked. We might have got a few more points had he stayed on, but there had been a total breakdown of trust between the manager, the players and the fans. He had to go. Unfortunately, SR did what they do best and completely fucked up the recruitment of his replacement.
-
I have to take issue with that. We absolutely did need a keeper upgrade in that summer, like we have for many years now. And the signing of Ramsdale is probably the only example of SR signing an established player at the level he was signed for. That's once, in four years, where they have deviated from their obsession with signing untested youngsters in the hope they will eventually turn a big profit.
