  1. Full time 2-2. Ipswich drop more points. It's on us now to take advantage and open up that gap.
  2. Probably because they've only won once in their last nine games now. That's not promotion form. It's more like relegation form.
  3. And there's the Ipswich equaliser 😏
  4. The good news is they've lost two players to injury so far - Kyle Bartley and Daryl Dike. The downside of that is we now have 8 mins of stoppage time.
  5. Those bench options mean we can rotate out the wingers twice and still have enough attacking quality on the pitch to tear them a new one.
  6. A hard fought away win (or draw) with a couple of injuries and/or suspensions ahead of our game at the Hawthorns next week would be just lovely.

  8. Arma's goal at Rotherham was a peach, from inch-perfect ball forward from THB to the backheel from Wee Man to tee him up. Just a shame the keeper got a touch, which stopped it from being a 'clean' finish. But that doesn't detract from the overall quality of the move.
  9. Meh. I'm only an honorary Yorkshireman anyway. Been here 20 years, but I still pronounce 'bath' and 'glass' correctly in the King's English. And I've never owned a whippet. My neighbour's got one (named Winston), and I have no idea what he feeds him but it's the chunkiest whippet I've ever seen!
  10. Not all of you, it seems
  11. Technically it's only one, because Manchester isn't actually in Lancashire. As a Northerner, I might have expected you to know this
  12. They are a very limited team and, just like in our home game against Rotherham, we should have been out of sight in the game at their place in November before they scored a freak goal out of nothing late on. We've improved a lot since then, and have become much more ruthless at home. I still go into every game thinking this could be the one that trips us up and ends our run, but every time they just go and do the biz and surprise me. The recent games against Blackburn, Swansea and Wednesday were all potential banana skins in my eyes, but we blew them all away and won those games by an aggregate score of 13-0. Despite that, I still can't quite bring myself to predict another convincing home win, because I've been supporting Saints for over 35 years and old habits die hard I guess.
  13. Everyone was raving about the assist from Che for Mara's first goal - it looks to me like he was actually trying to lay it back to Rothwell for a 1-2 and cocked it up, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Also, that miss from him in the first half is absolutely unforgiveable. You simply have to score from there.
  14. It happens. I remember a game at SMS against Fulham in the early 00s where we went 2-0 down and came back to win 4-2 with a hattrick from BT, despite him playing utter dogshit that day. And how many times did MLT jog around the pitch for 90 mins doing absolutely fuck all except score a wonder goal (or two, or three).
  15. Plymouth v Leeds has gone to ET. Good, good.

  17. 🎶Twenty four, twenty four undefeated🎵
  18. A crackerjack from Mara! Ooh, I could crush a grape.
  19. I have it on very good authority, from an ultra reliable sauce, that Brooks will 100% be in the starting lineup, but John McGinn definitely won't be because he's suspended.
  20. Indeed. 8 of our remaining games are against teams currently in the bottom half, so it's not a massive advantage they have. They also lost away at Stoke and drew at Rotherham, where we won both games. So it does look a bit like clutching at straws from this guy.
  21. Couldn't see that at all from where I was stood (which was near the back in the right corner, just off the edge of this pic). Meanwhile, the giant video screen at the other end didn't show the game time or the score at any point during the game:
  22. Rotherham is to Sheffield what Eastliegh is to Southampton. Like a chavvy neighbour with an old sofa and broken washing machine in the front garden, being regularly visited by the police and lowering the tone of the area.
  23. Midlands derby??? Stoke is closer to Liverpool than it is to Leicester.
  24. Kelham Island is great. So many good street food and craft beer venues have opened up in recent years.
