  1. Very sad news indeed. Never saw him play, but he was manager when I began supporting Saints and that team he had in 1989/90 was a real joy to watch. Rest in Peace.
  2. Calling for Bannon to sort us out is one thing, but a serving MP in the party of government claiming that the president of our biggest ally needs to be kicked out of office for the good of the west is quite another. How the fuck can Sunak even consider letting her keep the whip after that?
  3. Well now, what a bag of shite that was. Millwall were fucking awful and we've gifted them a win. I knew the unbeaten run wouldn't go on forever, but for it to end quite as abruptly as it has is very alarming. 3 defeats out of 4 in the space of two weeks - two of them at home. I'm not completely giving up hope on autos just yet, but it's looking pretty unlikely now unless we can turn things around quickly.
  4. Great save to deny AA.
  5. Ipswich taken the lead again
  6. OK so the two goals conceded today mat well have unique factors not directly related to the presence or not of Downes in midfield, but it's fair to say that with a proper holding midfielder on the pitch, the passages of play that led to those instances may well not have happened. So it may not exactly explain the two goals we've conceded today, but the fact that since he's been injured we've gone from being imperious defensively at home to conceding two in the first 45 minutes in 3 consecutive games. That's not a coincidence. It's also not a coincidence that, since he has been injured, we've looked like a disorganised mess defensively. So my comment was more along the lines of "when is he back so we can start properly dominating teams again and looking more composed, instead of the utter shambles we have been in the last few games without him". But apparently that makes me a dinlow 🙄
  7. Wheels well and truly fallen off. When is Downes back?
  8. And now Thick Lizzie has gone full Trump... https://inews.co.uk/news/politics/liz-truss-blames-deep-state-fox-news-2917840 Liz Truss blames ‘deep state’ for failed premiership in Fox News article In an article for the right-wing US news outlet, the former PM accused radical leftist institutions for sabotaging her premiership
  9. I saw a screenshot of it elsewhere online, and had to visit for myself to check it was genuine. I'm a bit worried though. I had some whole milk recently, and now I'm concerned I might find myself watching GB news and agreeing with some of the comments on Mail Online.
  10. I don't even know where to begin with this
  11. Millwall managed to lose at home to the awful Sheffield Wednesday last time out. If we can't win this game then we have no right to believe we are serious promotion candidates. As long as Rothwell doesn't start at CM, I think we'll be fine. Russ has lost a lot of goodwill with that experiment.
  12. Time to lock this thread. Not a chance in hell we're catching Leicester now.
  13. Exactly. It was obvious after about 15 mins that it was all wrong and was going to cost us dearly. He should have taken his own advice and been brave enough to change it then. Full credit to Hull though. They deserve the win on the balance of play, but we made it too easy for them in the first half.
  14. We're finally starting to show a bit of control and composure, but it's far too little too late. This is 100% on Russ for that horrific starting lineup.
  15. This ref is a proper knob.
  16. Adams miscontrols the ball then falls on his arse and blocks Aribo from being able to shoot. Brilliant Che. Just brilliant.
  17. Aribo has made a real difference. Can't fathom why he didn't start.
  18. Nothing coming off tonight. It's like everyone in red and white is wearing square boots.
  19. And now KWP looks crocked. Great.
  20. For that performance, yes. That was worse than Huddersfield. What on Earth does RM see in Rothwell? He's having an absolute shocker- surely he's got to sub him off at HT.
  21. Can't really blame the front players. They're feeding off scraps from the utterly dreadful midfield.
  22. Never mind goung off. He needs to go back to Bournemouth if this is the kind of performance he's going to put in regularly.
  23. Can't even get a lucky break from a loose ball cos Hull are getting to every one of them.
