And rightly so too. Successive Israeli governments seem to have this belief that they are untouchable and can do no wrong. The incident today is the third such incident since the recent operation began where they have deliberately targeted UN buildings which are supposed to be safe havens for civilians who have been affected by the fighting. But as usual the UN will probably stand by and do nothing. As an organisation it really has become a toothless tiger and most of the world's more unsavoury leaders have wisened up to that fact. Remember how they threatened military intervention in Iraq if Saddam failed to allow the weapons inspectors in? It was an empty threat because they bottled out when he called their hand.

I think Lowe's biggest mistake is believeing that he could be a successful football chairman even though, by his own admittance, he knew absolutely nothing about the game when he took over. 12 years on and he is still none the wiser.

In actual fact, I can't remember the last time I even watched an England game. -

I swear to god I will never watch another prem football match if this transfer goes through. Utterly fvcking ridiculous. With the world's economy on its knees, how in the hell is a footballer worth £100m? In what twisted version of reality do millions of people starve every day yet someone gets paid £200,000 a week just to kick a bit of leather around a field? -
YAY! I've sussed it now! I didn't realise that I had to create a NAT rule to associate the ethernet with the Dialer1 interface but I've done that now and it's working. Thank fook for that, I've been tearing my hair out over the last two days with this. Thanks for your help mate, that config that you posted really helped.

I watched Mel Gibson's Apocalypto lastnight. There really isn't any plot (Hunter gets captured by Mayans and escapes to run back to his pregnant wife - that's it) but it's an enjoyable film. The locations are beautiful and the sets and costumes of the Mayan city are visually stunning. Some good action scenes (you could argue the whole film is just one big action scene) but I would have prefered a bit more in the way of a plot. I thought the ending was a bit naf as well. But if you switch your brain off you'll enjoy it for what it is - a historical (probably not very accurate) action film. 7/10.

Thanks for the help so far guys, it's been very vaulable. Right, I've made a bit of progress but I'm still a bit stumped. The router is by all accounts connecting to the ISP OK. The connection tests on the SDM tool are passing as successful and using hyperterminal I can ping the DNS server OK, but that's it. Neither of the PCs on the ethernet are able to connect to the outside world even though they are both connected to the router and receiveing an IP address over DHCP. If I try running a tracert on the IP address of the DNS server from my PC, it only gets as far as the router so there is obviously a problem somewhere between the ethernet and the exit interface on the router. Anybody got any ideas?

Yes

Yeah I've done all that. It's set up as a dhcp server and kicking out IP adresses to the LAN clients OK. I've set the pvc values (0/38) and that's showing OK. It just doesn't let me add the default route, or it does but when I run the connection test using the SDM software it falls down at the 'checking exit interface' stage which means it doesn't have a default route to send the external traffic to. I've checked with Plusnet and they tell me that they have 5 different servers that I could connect to each time I log in so it's not possible for them to provide me with a 'next hop' IP address.

Cheers for the assistance anyway Stevo.

I had a look and tried inputing the IOS command like it says on that page but the router doesn't like the command for some reason. I tried it a few times. This is doing my swede in now, I've been messing about with this for the best part of two days!!!!!!

It was factory defaulted when I got it. Bought it off ebay for £35, hence I don't have a support contract with Cisco themselves.
-
I've got the IP from Plusnet but when I run the connection test it tells me that I need to configure either a user-specific or a default route to work with the ADSL interface, and I don't know what information I need in order to do that.

I've recently acquired a Cisco 837 router and I'm trying to configure it to connect to my ISP (Plusnet) but there seems to be a problem with the routing and I don't really have enough knowledge about Cisco routers to know how to fix it. Can anyone help?

Oooops. Wrong thread!

what happened to "Surman and Lallana off as soon as window opens"

Linky linky Here you go Alps. Seeing as you are having a go at others for not using the Search Forum feature and can't be arsed to do it yourself, here is the link. Oh and guess what? You posted on the thread yourself. -
Mind if I ask why?

It made me chuckle when I heard about this on the radio today. Somebody from BAA is claiming that Heathrow will need to have a 3rd runway if it is to survive. WTF!? The busiest international airport in the world would collapse and shut down if they don't build a 3rd runway? I seriously doubt that somehow.

I've seen a trailer for this and I have to say that I think it looks terrible. I would probably enjoy it were it not for that short-assed, wooden gimp portraying the lead role with a ****ing american accent. Well I guess after his pathetic attempt to sound Irish in Far and Away then I guess it's a good thing he hasn't tried to sound German. Would have probably made the film even more unwatchable.
-
Yeah I keep meaning to get hold of that. I also bought recently Cronos which is another of Del Toro's earlier films which is supposedly excellent, but I haven't got round to watching it yet. I'll post some comments on here when I finally do.

I tried running a full scan for and fix errors and it came up with nothing. There's nowt wrong with the drive I'm sure. Cheers for that link though, the change to the registry seems to have done the trick.
-
Actually, now that I look at it in Disk Management, it's not actually a NTFS volume. It doesn't specify a file system at all. I'm led to believe that you can convert a FAT or FAT32 volume to NTFS without destroying the data held on it. Is this true?

Help! I have a Seagate USB hard drive connected to my PC and every time I boot up, Checkdisk comes up and tells me that it needs to be checked for consistency. It runs through the scan and tells me everything is fine and that there are no bad sectors or anything like that, but then it does it the next time, and the next time, and the next time. I know I can just 'press any key' to skip the disk check but does anyone have any idea why it is doing this and what I can do to stop it?

No it's a woman but she pulls off about 4 different wigs to reveal 4 different aliases. Genius! -

I've got the whole series of Police Squad on DVD and no matter how many times I watch the part where he's having a gunfight with that woman and then the camera pans out to show that they are actually only about 3 feet apart, it still makes me LMAO.
