With overseas players it is always a gamble, who had the final say on whether Gaston and Osvaldo were suited to our style of playing? I will get stick for this but I still maintain punch could have been a huge part of this team he offered something different can't believe we loaned him and kept some of the dead wood here

I think we could well be stuck with Gaston cortese doesn't seem to be a man that would admit it hasn't worked out and that bringing him to the club was a mistake

Agreed thats much more realistic personally i would be ecstatic with with 6th place! and happy anywhere in the top ten. Possibly the season could now be seen as a failure if we don't finish in the top ten? not sure how cortese would react.

Its pretty embarrassing to see people thinking we are going to win the league, we are not even half way through the season we have proved nothing unless we can continue till the end of the season. Granted we are doing better than we could ever hope for at the moment

Agree lallana has the talent but till this season he has been far too lightweight on the ball! MP seems to have installed some strength and determination in him, on his day as proved by today he can be unplayable if your a defender!

If we can keep this up for the rest of the season then i will be hugely impressed!! its a shame that should we have any injuries to key players we don't have the right quality of backup, maybe january will sort that but i can't see more money being spent, more likely to swap gaston for a player that suits us better! great performance overall! bad gaff by wanyama but these things happen he will give away a few from his casual style but overall he's been a success
