Obviously no real comparisons can be made to each others record of bringing success to the club Cortese has clearly had a part in rescuing us from the brink but then Lowe managed to keep us in the prem on a shoestring budget. both are stubborn men that will singlemindedly follow there vision, both seemingly have limited people skills in dealing with both the media, fans and general public, both have huge egos, both like to change managers at a rate of knots to alledgedly move forward. Are there any other similarities? Surely Cortese is the lesser of two evils?

Sooner surely we should see his class on Saturday against the bottom side? Are you happy with his performances and effort so far then?

No not really you are living in dreamland if you think anyone is going to offer what we paid for Ramirez, in his current state he's worth five or six million at best you couldn't really say he's better than SRL at one million

ramirez just doesnt seem to want to play for us whole heartedly a skilled player there can be no doubt but in terms of contribution has to be one of our poorest. Do you think he will still come good or would he have come good by now if was going to. has he had long enough to improve?

just think we could have brought both the newcastle players they've just signed for less than ramirez

I think his head is elsewhere certainly not at saints, he is probably missing his own country and friends which is understandable. hopefully things click for him but at the moment hes far too lightweight on the ball and a luxury we cant afford to have in the team on current form! has the talent though

agree with that. What do you think is the main reason gaston gives the ball away so much? Is it because he tries to do too much with it ie showboating and tricks is it because he's disinterested? Because he's not well suited to the prem? Or simply because he's nowhere near as good a player as we thought he was and when we offered 12 million they bit our arm off!

nonsense you are getting carried away with yourself I am as pleased with our peformances as anyone but we are what four matches in? judge him on the rest of our season as if we suffer a decline you will be the first calling for his sacking

if we havent seen him improve his consistency in the time hes been here (hes had plenty of time to show he can get better) then theres nothing to suggest he will. Hope im proved wrong

noone seems to answer this directly refering only to the fact that he is one for the future but who buys a 12 (14 with add ons) million pound player and doesnt expect them to be better than the other players?

i think as other posters have said the main issue is how much we paid had we paid four of five million most people wouldn't be too disheartened that he wasnt as good as expected but this player was hyped up beyond belief we truely believed we were getting a world class player. People can make all the excuses they want but its clear hes not well suited to the premiership. Who really signed him?
