We basically are in a situation where we need a whole new defence with the exception of clyne (who I know has made mistakes) none of them are premiership level including the keeper! You simply have to ask questions as to why Adkins and the board deemed they could hold their own in the best league in the world. It's a catastrophic error and worse it's to late to repair it. Confidence is rock bottom as even the players no they aren't good enough to cope with the pace and precision of premiership strikers. Do we have the confidence now in our tank to believe we can get a result against villa we desperately need to steady the ship

What about the worrying statistics he mentioned? Ie that no promoted club has ever stayed up that has lost the first four games! And not just last season either. Those who thought are season started after the first four games are in denial twelve points lost is massive lose the next two and we are effectively gone. I know people will say its over reactionary but it's being realistic

Didn't look premiership class either the One time I've seen him on the telly. But he has the potential to be, is it to big a risk to chuck him in the deep end and damage his confidence if he turns it to be no better than Davis?

I thinks he's a top bloke like the rest of us but the fact is he's just not agile enough at this level he's a terrific shot stopper but that's about it. His distribution is truly shocking how many times does he hoof it straight out of play or a miss cued hit straight to an attacker? we hardly over see him through the ball to a defender to play out from the back as most top keepers do he just seems to panic and hoof it anywhere even when under no pressure. Why is this?

Hoddle hasn't been in management for bloody years it would be a crazy appointment!

It's a funny game the same people that are saying stick with Adkins no matter what will be demanding an inquest if cortese sticks with him till the bitter end and doesn't bring someone in when he had the chance. Swings and roundabouts. Adkins should be given five more games in my opinion still no points then get someone else in with more experience to give us half a chance.

I feel having already dropped nine points we need a result at arsenal even if its a point to at least give us that all important first point on the board, statistics show no promoted team has stayed up having lost the first three games of the season in the premiership, would losing four give us a mountain to climb? How important is the arsenal game?
