When all this started he hadn't said anything in the media. It's pretty general practice to allow ex legends to be part of the club and is also good business sense!

But he doesn't need to be such a **** about it though does he? If he gave Matt the respect he massively deserves there wouldn't even be a problem and it would never have got this far.

The only reason he keeps going on about it is because he cares so much about SFC and the club is such a big part of his life (much like all of us!!) He can't bare not being involved wit it as it means so much to him and being constantly disrespected by the jolly come lately chairman would **** me off too if I had done as much as Matt has for the club in my lifetime.

When we were at the depths a few years ago Matt was still there, almost in tears at our plight and desperately trying to save the club (even holding out thin hope that Pinnacle could achieve a takeover bid). If we ever get in trouble again Matt will be there again, as always our greatest servant, doing everything he can to make the club successful. Cortese is purely here to make money, and loads of it. If we get in to trouble he wont give a toss and will jump ship to another money making venture but Matt will still be here. Matt is more important to Saints than Nicola ever will be and people need to start remembering that!! Short memories. If Cortese wants what is best for the club then he should want past heroes involved regardless of whether they moan in the papers or not. This is all an ''I'm the big man now, do what I want or **** off'' attitude and it stinks

I'd pay a grand to play them right now with us having a fully fit squad and half the stadium full of saints. Portsmouth FC, the comical gift that just keeps on giving!

I hope the price doesn't put too many people off going, £40 quid is a tough justification for a relegation battle with some good away days left this year

This. I want him to leave the stadium after having a Dave Jones style rant about the Leeds fans. He's a crook and ruins clubs. Every time teams come to sms they give us stick about ''only one Harry Redknapp'', it's payback time. I remember when Saints fans were the 'fans on the sofa' on soccer am a couple of years ago and Redknapp did a phone in, apparently the saints fans were ordered to be nice to him and even gave him a round of applause?! He deserves every bit of stick possible and as many references to bungs and his dog as we can drum up.

I think the point anyway is how disassociated people are with having to spend half a days wages to buy a ticket to see average sportsmen earn £100k a week. If you started an FCUM type club the minute it got to the football league you'd have to start paying these ridiculous wages again to attract anyone to the club anyway. After 5 or 6 promotions you'd be back to the stage of money taking over, football is just so far out of touch of reality that not many normal people can associate with it now

So, did he say anything new in regard to having problems with how Cortese is running the club? Or was it just that he's a disrespectful ***** that has a personal agenda against ex-saints and the clubs history?
