Fair point - I stand corrected

And loves snazzy touchline attire

Translation: Sacked by Bournemouth, Fulham and Club Brugge.

What did happen to that poster who joined pretty much the day Jones started, talked incessantly about how brilliant NJ was as a manager, claimed to have been a Saints fan all his life but occasionally slipped and called Luton 'we', and then disappeared as soon as the mad twat got the boot? The one who absolutely, definitely wasn't Jones posting after training? 🤣

“In the words of one member of staff, Southampton started the season with a team that was ‘basically Prowsey, Theo and a bunch of children’ “
-
Well that's a load of absolute bollocks for a start, isn't it. In the squad on first day of the season only 3 players were under 24. That's not a 'bunch of children'. And Theo wasn't even in the squad. Squad vs. Spurs: Bazunu - 21 Walker-Peters - 26 Valery - 24 Bednarek - 27 Salisu - 24 Djenepo - 24 Ward-Prowse - 28 Lavia - 19 Romeu - 31 Aribo - 26 A Armstrong - 26 Subs: McCarthy - 33 Stephens - 29 Adams - 26 Redmond - 29 Perraud - 25 S Armstrong - 31 Elyounoussi - 28 Diallo - 24 Bella-Kotchap - 21

That’s what it feels like, but how can you possibly be complacent when you’re rock bottom of the league and losing most weeks?
-
When you see it like that, it brings into focus just what a weird team we are. We’ve been so, so shit in so many games, but that set of results shows we’re not a completely lost cause. You can fluke a few results against the top clubs, but not five. Why can we only raise our game against good sides and be so utterly useless against everyone else?

1-12

Because he was. Making one good save against us doesn't change that.

This is why Denise Coates, who owns half of Bet365, is worth £5.2bn

Keep up the good work 👍

Leeds fans who were slating Marsch before are now getting nervous he’ll go back and turn them over with us next week, and then keep us up at their expense. Entertaining reading: https://motforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=41801&start=140

OK, I’m sold. That’s amazing
-
Dalek, is that you…?

That’s what I don’t get though. Why did he immediately change it again after that game? We were fantastic in that match and played one of the best teams in the world off the park. It felt like he’d actually found a system that worked so why on Earth not just stick with that?
-
Right. Blank sheet of paper and let's start again. 16 matches to play and we probably need something like 21-22 points. Take Bazunu out of the firing line, go 4 at the back, compact three in the middle to try and protect the defence a bit more and get some attackers with goals in them to play off Onuachu. Caballero KWP (Bree if KWP out) Caleta-Car Salisu Perraud JWP Lavia Alcaraz Sulemana Onuachu Orsic Subs: Bazunu, ABK, Maitland-Niles, S. Armstrong, Edozie, Adams, A. Armstrong, Mara, and Bree if KWP fit (Djenepo if he's not). Dropped from the squad without trace, never to darken the shirt again: Bednarek, Lyanco, Elyonoussi, Diallo, Walcott, Aribo.
-
Of all the places available to place the blame for that shitshow, Bazunu is not one of them.
-
Speechless. Just when you think Saints can't get any more embarrassing. The board, the manager, the players. Fuck the lot of them.
-
What’s absolutely astonishing to me is that despite the fact we’ve been hilariously shit for what now feels like years, we’re still not cut adrift at the bottom. We’re somehow still one win and goal difference away from getting out of the bottom three. How we’re not completely dead and buried yet is beyond me. But we’re not. With just a bit of basic organisation and man-management it still really wouldn’t take that much to get fairly comfortably safe. Grind out a couple of ugly 1-0s at home, the confidence comes back and everything starts feeling different. Which of course Jones is clearly not capable of, which makes it all the more imperative for SR to cut their losses immediately, admit their mistake, send this delusional psychopath packing and get a proper manager in, before that gap really opens up.
