Good win for you lot. I watched your game. Gaston Ramirez looks good, Clyne looks good and early days but can't see you being relegated. You can kick on from there and achieve Nicola's dream. As for my dream, I only want to see PST take control. I'd happily accept years and years of Div 4 to get control of the club. Despite what you may say, if the conditions are right we can sustain it. If Portpin take over, despite having a ST I will not set foot in FP again. But if they don't and PST can claim our club back, it would be my proudest moment as a Pompey fan by far. As for our rivalry, maybe you can develop a more meaningful rivalry with Reading or maybe Brighton can emulate your success and creep up to fill the void. Failing that you can jump up and down and try to get on Tottenhams Radar like you did last time round.

I see, i did wonder. Loads of 'New' names popping up all over the place on various message boards, asking how to get refunds on pledges, supportive of Chainrai and slagging off the PST. I genuinely thought it was you guys, but I reckon you'd be more subtle than this influx! Seriously though, it's nasty sh*t that scummy PR companies even exist that do this sort of thing.

Excellent replies to my question earlier. I liked Nick's best, but I think they were on the whole as fair minded as its possible for rival fans to be. Except for Chez, sarcastic *****! Ok new question. Sock puppets. It has been alluded to that they are being used on various message boards & media outlets. This is all new to me as until about 20 minutes ago I thought a sock puppet was a masturbation device. Anyway, it's been suggested that a previous chairmen of yours who likes hockey, old peoples homes and duck hunting, employed them to influence opinion & divide your fans. What was that all about and why? Genuine question to anyone who knows.

The last couple of threads got me thinking. Whilst we wait for the PST to receive preffered bidder status, I wanna get peoples thoughts. Every clubs fans have many with delusions of granduer. It doesnt make any of it true, but seriously, humour me here and give me your own perceptions, Lazy media perceptions and then what you truelly believe, for both sets of clubs & supporters. Here are mine; Perceptions of Fans (Right or wrong). Pompey Fans Pompey Fans think; They are the most passionate around, Noisy, a bit tasty and Loyal. The media thinks; Pompey Are Gutsy, Noisy, Loyal, Crisis riden money-spunkers. The realisty (Probably is); Pompey are Noisy, beligerant, Interesting, low-brow, evoke strong opinions, Fan numbers not especially loyal, working to under class backgrounds, unimaginative and a little bit racist/homophobic/conservative. Saints Fans Saints Fans think; Saints a BIG club with a fantastic youth academy, massive potential, large away followings and they support a club whose 'rightful' place is in the big league. The media thinks; They really dont seem that interested, see's Saints as a bit boring. Acknowlege Saints a great place for bringing through talent oh and MLT. The reality (Probably is); Excellent academy, well supported, diverse support, very arrogant, not very vocal, Been amongst the top clubs a long time, sanctamonious, lacking an identity, uneventful and a bit non-descript.

More like 80%. Its all about trying to 'Up' the Fratton Park valuation, no more no less. The powers that be know whats going on and what they are dealing with. At the end of the day the choice is going to be which will raise the most money for the creditors. 1) Liquidation, little value here for anyone. 2) Chainrai, good on paper, but serious suspicions (I am being careful for obvious reasons) as to motives and delivery of promises. 3) PST - Hugely ambitious, well meaning, gonna be a big ask to succeed, but I believe it will. There is a lot of goodwill towards the trust. I am proud to be a very small part of it. I can honestly say hand on heart that if Portpin take over I will not go and neither will anyone use our season tickets.
-
We wont have a choice. I have the upmost respect for the people that are leading the trust bid. Some I know personally and they are very professional and a lot brighter than the likes of me (Though admittedly thats not hard). As I said, the people leading the Trust are a lot smarter than me. I think there will be more that will jump in than will jump out. Very confident on this issue. Fratton Park is worth very little as it is protected land set aside for sports and recreation, now planning law may change that and I am not an expert, but the land around Fratton could of been bought for a while now with no interest. An offer for Fratton Park of 3M would be a generous offer. Much skullduggery going on here, but I am confident Chinny will be lucky to get 3 million quid. Exciting times!
-
I got a very strong feeling the FA will approve the Trusts bid. Fingers crossed eh guys and girls! Judging by the time spent in here you'd be lost without us! Back the bid FFS! :-D

That'll be Two Portsea Island boys in the team then, what with Oxo. Shame Portsmouth FC is such a shambles that it cant attract its own, island grown talent. SFC youth set up have done an excellent job training the talent from outside its own city boundaries and will continue to make a pretty penny in the meantime. Hats off. One more thing, the youngster Ashley Harris is doing really well for Pompey maybe you should knab him too? Though I guess if he was good enough to make the Prem grade, you already would have.
-
I dont actually mind Al Fatty, but 100% behind a trust buy out, as are nearly everyone I have spoken too. Far too good an opportunity to miss! :-)
-
For the record I am exceeding distrusting of this. If Al Fati is involved then, I dunno. I actually have a soft spot for him, he is not a crook, just a loon. He actually put 5 mil of his own money in and lost it all. I would welcome his involvement with the trust as he DEFINATELY has an affection for Pompey, but as I said, he is a loon. He stood with the fans at one of the away games the year after his involvement and got dogs abuse, but I can't help but think he's just an idiot, but not a crook. Or put it this way, not a crook involved with Chainrai. My stance is still that I desperately want the trust to take over, but birch will be bound to accept the best bid for the creditors. Good people have put in so much good work for the trust and to my mind, the trust is the most exciting prospect. I won't boycott the club unless Chainrai gets involved again. Chainrai is a guaranteed slow death for the club, so you should all be routing for Portpin.

It is unreasonable because we believe it's our club, spiritually for want of a far better word, if not actually. I know most fans don't want a Phoenix club, we want the shysters who have used our club to their own ends gone. You seem to suggest we should run away? By backing the PST we believe we can take back what is ours and drive these crooks out, we don't have a super rich benefactor waiting in the wings and even if we did, most wouldn't want it. Everyone I speak to is dead set on making it so the club actually belongs to us. We dont want to be at the whim of some foreign corporate types who make decisions like Changing the clubs historic colours and mistreating your own club legends. I mean don't you think NC is taking the p*ss? Who gave him the right to f*ck with your soul/history/culture??? If we have the opportunity to take control of our club so egotistical *****s like NC can't run roughshod over what the fans want, would you not take control? Would you not do exactly the same thing in the same situation? I guess not. But we will buy our club and it will be ours not just in name, but actual ownership. So when I say MY club, unlike you, it will be actually true and not just an expression. Now that's really something to look forward too!
-
The fact you lot want our 'rotting carcass' of a club to die tells me it's worth fighting for.
-
Putting things really simply. If Pompey fans buy their club out of administration, why didn't Saints fans look to do the same when their club was in administration? Didn't that generous Swiss bloke buy you out of it at the very last minute, coming from nowhere? I'm not supprised that a few thousand of you turn out annually to celebrate him! But for me the big question is why were saints fans prepared to let their debt ridden club die? I cannot fathom it? For all the ill's of football and Pompey is one of the sickest puppies, how could a true fan let it die? It's like family, you cant turn your back on it. Of course I realise clearly Saints fans see things differently, but I don't understand why? I wouldn't want to be in the metaphorical trenches with any gutless types with the prevailing attitude to your own displayed on here. Swansea is 20% fans owned and are a fantastic admirable club, Exeter are fan owned and I admire them greatly. Pompey are in administration, on life support. The fans will not pull the plug on their club. Hopefully we can emulate a few of the clubs who are still left to be admired. You lot got into debt, did nothing about out and but for the inexplicable grace of a poorly man who wanted a last minute play thing, would not even be here. Pompey fans are looking to pay off debts with OUR OWN MONEY, WHO paid off your debts after your mad scramble spending money you didnt have to get back into the Premiership at the first time of asking? ANY of you lot? ........Didn't think so, so stop taking the moral highground by proxy, Marcus Liebherr has my respect, Saints fans who stood around pathetically watching their club die with their hands in their pockets sure dont. "This is why the country goes to war out of Portsmouth", as our late, great manager Bally once said.
-
I'm really proud of the fans efforts to save Portsmouth. If we can pull it off (and I say 'we' loosely as apart from chucking in 1k, I have done very little) it will be amazing. Our budget will be tiny and we may not challenge you for top spot in a long, long time, but there will be so much to look forward to and enjoy. A club the size of Portsmouth in the majority ownership of the fans will be unprecedented in the UK, but in time i hope the first of many. As you're two leagues away and we truely are no threat to you now, I'm surprised at the reaction to a PST buyout on here? After all the anger over the crooks etc at PFC I'd of thought there would be more appreciation of just what the fans of the club are trying to do? Irrespective of our rivalry. Pompey Fans who, whichever way you might want to view it, are not all that different from any other clubs fans? More power to the fans I say, maybe one day you fellas may claim what is yours from the corporates and foreigners (not meant in a xenophobic way, but let's be honest, if you live outside the country you are far less accountable). A fan owned SFC, wouldn't that appeal? Maybe it's a way to put back into football what's missing? I dunno....
-
C'mon, who ever said he was that????
-
Hey Nick, 'Pompey of the North' didn't do too badly eh?
-
Well it must be true if 'Arry told you himself!
-
Really? I dont even read Rallyboys posts anymore, he's boring as f*ck and says the same things, over and over and over.... He might as well do a daily cut and paste.
-
Good. Just putting Nick right. F*ck all to do with you.
-
An old mate of mine, made the back page of the News of the World, with 'Pompey Shame'. 1994 i think it was? It wasnt the linesman, it was the referee and he didnt 'Assault' him he just pushed him. He was given a lifetime ban by the club which eventually got overturned. A moment of drunken stupidity, but he hardly got away with it. Nothing the club could of done to stop it.
-
I have yet to hear anything about paying the remaining £900? But I think more people want in now than prior to the departure of Chinny. There is a real feel good factor swilling around, whether that will equate to actual pledges I don't know? But the idea of the fans owning the club and doing all the things such as cutting our cloth accordingly etc etc, seems to be really igniting. Loads of old faces there Saturday, the Winchester set (No offence to genuine Pompey Winchester fans) will be taking the kids down to St. Mary's again and TBH your welcome to them! I hope the fan takeover happens, I really do. It'll be the best thing to happen to Pompey since our back to back league titles and I never got to enjoy them! I can see all kinds of fan initiatives taking root and the chance to really work on our 'Identity' as opposed to just being farmed for cash, which will make a nice change. We have as many point out become a figurehead for all thats wrong with the Football business (but by no means not the only one!), but our fans will be our redemption, whether you like it or not.
-
Alex Rea and a Rangers Contingent were there, I sat directly behind them.
-
Nick, Its all bull****. Everything, none of it really matters. We are just all passing the time till we all age and die.
-
I think you are all completely failing to understand the circumstances of the situation regarding the players we have 'signed'. We are not out bidding anyone, the temporary conditions suit the situation these, in some cases, semi-talented unattached players find themselves in. The loanees will stay, the likes of Williamson, dumbuya, Howard and Harley will all depart once offered decent contracts elsewhere. The fees they are earning are lower than they may potentially earn once match fit and proven in the 'shop window' as it were. There were many scouts there today watching 'our' players and you will all be pleased to know as soon as anyone performs well they will be snatched up elsewhere. To be honest I don't care, I will just take it one game at a time, my sole ambition is to be a small part of a fan buy out. I am excited for the future, good luck tomorrow I am sure you will excel in 'The best league in the world'.
-
Yeah but what the f*ck has that got to do with me? I live in a modest house, live well within my means and save for a rainy day. It's not my fault if through legalities the club got used for god knows what by 'foreign investors'. I just support my team, will never turn my back on them, I am contributing to hopefully own a small part of the club so we the fans can know what the 'real' financial situation is and make sure it never happens again. But turn my back on Pompey? Never. Pompey are many things you say we are, but we have a collective identity with our city Southampton will never have, we genuinely dig in and fight and if we have become 'outcasts' or be viewed as 'pariahs' so be it, it'll be of no interest soon. As you're a Scummer you will never understand, we clearly have different ideas of how permanent the bond is between fan and club. That so many on here would even contemplate that we would wish our club die, or be embarressed by it is genuinely inconceivable to me, maybe 'cos you're right about my intelligence? Or maybe 'cos I'm not an insecure scummer, worried about how the outside world perceives me? Pompey always dig in. We DON'T boo our players when they don't meet our expectations, we have NEVER piped crowd noises into our ground to enhance an atmosphere, we DON'T cry when we get relegated or lose a Cup final and we don't have 70'000 odd posts in a thread about you lot and never would. You lot just keep writing letters and emails to football authorities, HMRC and the government about your nasty neighbours, that seems to be the Southampton way. Pathetic if this is what football rivalries has become. Maybe you're trend setters? In 2020 Danny Dyer will make a program featuring Saints fans and their orchestrated letter writing campaign? Sad c*nts. Oh one more thing, please do your Adam Lallana camp wave whenever you get the opportunity, so we can see it on MOTD, Funniest moment in a long time, have you done it since you showed it us at Fratton thinking we'd be impressed? I thought not. X X X
