Hopefully Dibbing gets the second half, be interested to see how he gets on against stronger and more robust opposition. Boy looks like he's got something for sure.
-
so far on social media the right wing protests have been a couple of blokes in Union Jack flags in Southampton, a bloke with a cross of St George in London and about 3 blokes protected by the police in Brighton. I wouldn't be surprised if all these people are just plain clothes officers acting the part to make it least appear like it wasn't all a load of bollocks to scare people.
-
Poor old Sogs mate, the only person in the country to be impacted by far right protests tonight.
-
so it's nearly 8pm. The "far right" protests should be starting now but the only protesters, aside from a handful in a few random locations are anti racism protesters. Lots of coverage on Sky news about how great the policing is. So much for 100 far right protests. All seems a bit suspect here.
-
Sky have just reported from Bristol live, no sign of any far right whatsoever, streets lined with about 1500 anti-facist protesters with the scene described as very peaceful. Looks like the far right protests dont exist probably much like the brown skinned friend and her car.
-
i wonder who did it as according to Avon police there are no plans for a "far right" protest in Bristol tonight. Police 'do not believe' further march is planned for Bristol - BBC News Is this the same "friend" that your got your wife to check what her company policy was on coffee breaks and use of the internet during the working day and surprise, surprise it aligned totally with what your view on it is?
-
it's like listening to 1980s narrative at the moment. Apparently the police are worried about the weekend as football fans will be travelling and as we know football fans align themselves with the far right.

he blocked me a while back, does he still start a lot of posts with "controversial opinion but" i dont think it's a wind up as he seems very serious, loves to appear edgy and thinking differently.

Andrew is back!! @Pat from Poole was a big fan of his. My god he talks some bollocks. He was prolific on twitter a few years back.

So let me get this straight. You’ve spent years lecturing us all on how some many people are Islamophobic, how great a diverse society is, how we should all welcome immigrants and if you don’t you’re racist. Yet you don’t know a SINGLE Muslim? Not one, not even a token barber or waiter in your village. The staggering arrogance that you can lecture people when you don’t even know a single Muslim. This is frigging hilarious. 😂

Whats the point? Last night there were some very respectful, grown up conversations then you appeared waded into the thread without reading it and made yourself look a cock. youre not interested in grown up conversations, you want people to nod along in agreement with what you’re saying. Your default reaction to anyone who doesn’t do this is they’re trolls, racists, Islamophobic and so on. you’re too arrogant and blinkered to see it though, you think the problem is everyone else. I called you out years ago and you can’t cope with it so play this silly ignore game. Plenty of others are seeing through you now too. You think your superior, you think your the voice of sanity but actually you’re an incredibly arrogant prick who cannot tolerate anyone who has a different view or questions yours.

That's exactly what it is, i've said it before too. Fixing the world one post at a time.

his barber.

in todays episode of SOGS Imaginary Friends it features a British Army veteran who, unsurprisingly, agrees 100% with SOGS view of things. Next week we will meet SOGs Jewish friend who he has been meeting for lunch once a week since 1972 and he's absolutely disgusted with the treatment of people in Gaza, he too completely agrees with SOGs solution.

well we spent the best part of £125m in 2022/23 across the two windows, instead of signing 4-5 players of real quality we gambled on kids and it spectacularly backfired.
-
he didn't look it when he did play.
-
that's exactly the point i'm making, the ones that haven't been sold aren't premier league standard yet after 2 years of being here.
-
we spent more than that though, the £75m was just what we spent on young players, that doesn't even include Bella=-Kotchap who was also 20 and played most of his football in the Budesliga 2, but at least he contributed even if his attitude is questionable. the difference between 14/15 and 22/23 was we signed good, experienced players who went straight into the first team. Bertrand, Tadic, Long, Forster, Pelle, Mane, Alderwierld on loan. All of them with plenty of first team football under their belts, all of them had played at international level, some of them had played in the champions league. They weren't kids who had never kicked a ball in mens football before who needed 2, 3, 4 years to develop. You can get away with one or two like that but not 5 or 6 in one window
-
we spent £75m on Lavia, Bazunu, Larios, Edozie, Mara, Alcarez and Sulemana in 2022/23. that's more money than we've ever spent in any window. None of them will be on the starting team sheet when we play Newcastle.
-
Yep if you're looking at it purely from a profit point of view we signed 7, sold 2 made about £20m (depending on what figure you believe for Chelseas sell on clause). However the other 5 aren't first choice first team players yet after 2 years. Personally i'd rather we didn't base our whole transfer model on how much we can sell players for in the future. The club seems to be thinking this way too now given our transfers since relegation.

i watched a bit yesterday too, i think the oldest person was 20, the rest were all really young, 13, 14, 15 and all as Kraken says being, like so awesome. All giving it the heart shaped finger sign thing when the camera was on them, a couple dancing as they were being announced. What they were doing wasn't too bad but it's not a sport is it. Same with BMXing, how is that a sport?
-
is Skateboarding even a sport?
-
he was signed the season before and missed most of 22/23 with his injury.
-
The way Padel is growing that'll be an Olympic sport before Squash will.
-
We also cant afford to be spending relatively big money on players who need 3-4 years to develop. Our gamble in 2022/23 season of relying on teenagers seems more and more ridiculous. None of the players signed will be first choice players this season despite being here 2 years now. Lavia was a success obviously but one in five when you've spent £50m on them isn't good enough. (yes i know Bazunu would be first choice if he was fit but he shouldn't be)
