I expect like most ITKs he doesn't bother any more and you can see why! The desperation for them to be wrong has probably made them think it's not worth it. The snidey comments, the jealousy and bitterness, the ungratefulness. You cant really blame the ITKs for leaving this place in their droves.

Yeah that's the one. In theory it's right, the teams with the best and worst goal difference generally finish highest and lowest. That's just common sense really, if you've got a good defence and good strikers then you're going to win more games. Where is all falls down is that since they joined we have consistently been crap at both so there is a lot more too it than looking at a spreadsheet which is what they seem to have failed to grasp.

As someone said (Duckhunter i think) If Rodgers is being interviewed, hes interviewing us not the other way round, maybe we are waiting on him? Although with the way this club is run i wouldn't be at all surprised if they went for another out of the box, data approach rather than a proven, quality manager

Has anyone listened to Rasmus TED talk? Im a big fan of TED talks quite often listen to them. He does come across very well to be fair but it's basically 15 minutes of him explaining when goal difference is a better judge of how a team actually performs. There is some merit in what he's saying, ie that generally the best and worst teams have the best and worst goal differences which is true but it seems like that's the entire basis for his data driven approach.

Yep as I mentioned I coach U13s and we’ve just moved to 11 a side. Some of the kids now look 14/15 and are literally twice the size of the smaller ones, what chance do they have when a kid twice as big, strong and fast can just knock it past them and barge them out of the way? I know two of my son’s friends have quit football all together because the coach told them they weren’t going to play much as they’re too small, how sad is that. The advantage the bigger kids have is ridiculous. Parents don’t help though, most of our are sound to be fair but two or three have very loud voices and are the first to complain or tell us how much better others clubs do it. One of them was even texting another coach during a game telling him what subs we should make, he knows better than to do that to me. Funnily enough none of them put their hand up when we ask for support or parents reps!
