I hope it was before she died you c*nt.

Same as what my mum did. Do you feel like you benifited from having that time with your mother?
-
How do you know? Science research says that kids raised by homosexuals are more likely to become homosexual, this suggests this is learned behaviour rather than being born that way.
-
If a hetrosexual couple physically cannot have children then it is different to a same sex couple being gay and deciding they want them. I'm sorry but when you decide to become a gay then you forego the opportunity to have children.
-
How is my arguement flawed? Children are generally happier when they are in a stable family environment with their biological parents. (obviously you will quote occasions where arseho*es who are crap parents or sucessful single parents like Just mike, but you cannot deny that this is the case for the majority of children. If it's not why does the government encourage family values?) As a homosexual couple you know full well that your child will be seen as "different" your agena might not like it but it'll happen. Why all the drama about EJ's adoption if it was the norm? Yes there are a number of reason why a child can be bullied, but they are deliberately making them a target. Would you deliberately put your kid in a position where they could be bullied? I wouldn't.
-
Bullying doesn't just happen in the school playground i am afraid.
-
It comes down to wanting to have your cake and eating it. When you become (or are born gay, but thats another arguement) you forego the opportunity of having bioligical children. That is the choice you have made. And regardless of what anyone says on here with their equal rights agendas, it is well know that kids are at the best when they have both (same sex) parents and are in a stable family relationship.
-
Dont be ridiculous. If i had a child, brought them up as a Saints fan would i then send them to Mayfield School in Portmouth? Of course i wouldn't, because they would undoubtedly be bullied and i'd deliberately be putting them at risk. Like it or not, children of same sex couples are at a high risk of bullying, same sex parents that adopt know full well that this is the case. I honestly think in a lot of these cases its more of a statement about themselves. I dont understand how you could not find women attractive yet still want children. Surely the basic concept of sex is procreation is it not?

i agree, her decison though. Staying together for the sake of the child. Up to them though.
-
Who are male and female.
-
she has made it stable, to the detriment of her own happiness, putting her kid first.
-
You have no control over your biological childrens appearance or future health. You do have control on if you chose to adopt and it is very likely that a child of a same sex relationship will be a victim of bullying. I am sure they are aware of this.
-
it doesn't but was following on from my point about a child needing a mother and father.
-
No i dont and hats off to you for making your situation work.
-
WOuld you do something that would deliberately put your child in a position where they would almost certainly be subject of ridicule and bullying?
-
Okay, i'll ignore my personal experience of a good friend of mine keeping their relationship together because she wants their 5 year son to grow up as part of a family with his dad around and didn't divorce him for only this reason, even though he deserved it.
-
makes a change you usually manage it comfortably, in your self appointed forum jester role.
-
People stay together for their kids, i know plenty that do, some good friends of mine have been in this position. They stay together because they want their kids to grow up in a stable enviornment.
-
Dont be a moron, that is totally different.
-
It is a fact. Why do people stay in unhappy relationships for the sake of their kids? It because people know that it is better for them to grow up with both parents around.
-
no difference. A kid needs a mother and father, not two of one.
-
Umm, yes it is. It is scientifically proven that children raised by their bioligical parents are happier, better at school and better behaved. Dont worry though, you keep arguing with years of scientific evidence and traditional moral values and trot out your nonsense.
-
And there it is, the homophobic comment. Utter nonsense. I do not agree with same sex parenting because it is a fact that children needs a mother and a father and a stable home enviornment to grow up as a balanced person. Obviously there will always be cases of bad parenting with hetrosexual couples, but how anyone can argue that it is correct for a baby to be raised by a 63 year old gay man is beyond me. And apart from anything else the bullying and ridcule at school a child of a gay couple will be subject too should be enough to put most gay couples adopting should be enough to put them off, if they care about the child that is and are not trying to make a statement about themselves.
-
If it really was absolutely the only option other than a home then it would be the preferable option. Without wishing to sound patronising, I feel really sorry for kiddies that grow up in care or whatever and if this is the only other option then being brought up by a family is preferable. It is unlikely though, there are 100's of male/female couples that want to adopt.
