Obviously you cant predict every single incident and sometimes nut jobs go on the rampage where you'd least expect it but in areas where knife crime is a serious issue then it makes absolute sense to arm the police as best possible to deal with incidents in the quickest and most effective manner. Worrying about upsetting people of colour is a ridiculous, especially considering the victim of this attack was a 14 year old black boy.

Just listening to a discussion on tasers for police. A 14 year old kid got murdered on his way to school by a bloke carrying a sword who went on the rampage killing him and injuring 3 others, police took 20 minutes to deal with him because first officers tried to disarm him using a pepper spray. With knife crime a massive issue in this country they're saying should all police be armed with tasers. Some guy arguing that it's wrong for all police to carry tasers because it gives police more power to disproportionatly discriminate against black people. This sort of shit is what's wrong with this country, people more interested in this sort of stuff than keeping our streets safe.

It is a dump though isn’t it. The blank canvas of Southampton is something special not many other cities in Europe let alone UK have a blend of historical ruins, large green areas and a coastline all within the city centre along with a relatively decent climate for UK. Rather than building on that and making Southampton a place people want to visit it’s a run down dump these days. So much potential squandered.

Aintforever said "that's just bollocks" when i said people were told the vaccine was safe. So i provided a quote from the PM at the time saying exactly that. You can list as many things as you want in a whataboutery arguement, but the fact is our own Prime Minster said they were safe and urged everyone to get one, even made you feel like a leper if you didnt, so it wasnt "just bollocks" at all was it. As for your other point remember the old saying "would you jump in front of a bus if they told you to do it?" seems like some people will.

Of course the narrative should be questioned. Following the science has lead to disasters too. Im sure people who questioned the thalidomide drug back in the 60s were called conspiracy theorists. There have been 100s of drugs that have been withdrawn that were first deemed to be safe. Not to mention following the science with our diets told us to cut out meat and eggs and eat processed crap which has directly lead to the obesity epidemic we now have.
